Have added the New GLR Track Mod, my tram depot and tram stop.
Are you referring to the upload by ebina and El Goalio?  It seems to be locked.  I think because the latest NAM uses these textures.  Somewhere (on STEX?) I saw a mod changing the GLR back to the old NAM.  So my question is since I like this texture/style of GLR track by ebina I don't have to download this because the new NAM includes this, right?  Clumsy wording but I hope understandable.

Secondly, I'm kinda anal about ReadMes so does NOB include any ReadMes?  Probably not in English at any rate.

Well, I tried laying out the GLR (light rail) tracks, and my game then crashed at some point whenever I wanted to continue the whole GLR system. I was wondering: is there a cure to fix the bug in the GLR add-on for the system because I'd like to build out the whole GLR line with minimal crashes as possible when I need it?

Use the draggable puzzle pieces instead of the plopable set... it's more stable and faster

Off-Topic: These train mods and add-ons look suprisingly like Locomotion albiet with way better graphics and you have no real supa direct control over rail.

I have one question:

Does anyone know how to build a diagonal tram (GLR) under an avenue overpass? I almost did that but the avenue consisted of 2 pieces instead of 4

thanx for any suggestions...

Not sure what you mean by "consisting of 2 pieces" but here's a visual step-by-step:

1) Lay your diagonal GLR first, with a 2-tile gap where the ave will go...

step1.jpg

2) Using the ave puzzle pieces, lay your start and end pieces...

step2.jpg

3) Skip through your ave pieces with the 'tab' key until you find the 'ave x diag GLR' piece and use your 'end' and 'home' keys to rotate it until it correctly fits the path of both the ave and the GLR...

step3.jpg

4) Skip through your ave pieces with the 'tab' key until you find the 'ave filler' piece and use your 'end' and 'home' keys to rotate it until it correctly fits the path of the ave, watching the arrows to make sure you get the directional pathing correct...

step4.jpg

Use step 4 again for the other empty spot. Using the puzzle pieces can be a bit irritating but you should be able to lay almost any combination of bridges you could need. Be patient!

Is is possible to connect a GLR between cities? I've been switching to an elevated rail for the connection but it doesn't look good.

If you have the latest NAM, you can use draggable GLR to make the connection since it's basically just a visual mod of the elevated network. The starter drag piece is next to the regular GLR piece and when you plop it, use the regular elevated rail to drag from there (it will automatically convert).

>I'm looking for a 1x1 GLR station. Does such a thing exist?

I assume from the lack of answers that no one is aware of such a thing.

Can anyone at least tell me if it is possible? I've never used BAT or the lot editor, but will figure them out if I know I will be able to get what I want. Is it possible to create a 1x1 GLR station, or do they have to be 3x1?

Thanks.

A 1x1 station should be possible, however, it might look odd with trams that have several cars. You could pick an existing GLR station that has models which fit on one tile, such as the ones that are included in the BSC SFBT GLR Tram Mod stations, and modify it in the lot editor.

OK. Thanks. I'm trying that, but have a problem.

I've gotten this far, but can't get rid of the remaining objects in the two otherwise empty squares. Any ideas?

Looks like the transit enabling for those is still in the lot exemplar file. Open the lot with the Reader, click on the lot exemplar file and have a look at the "LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData" properties. There should be three that start with a 0x0000007, and two of them are not longer needed. Unfortunately, it's very hard to tell which is the one on the remaining tile of the lot, so make a backup of your lot file and delete two of them, then right-click and select "ReIndex LotConfig". If you're lucky, you picked the correct ones. Alternatively, delete all three and then use SC4Tool to transit enable the station from scratch again.

bwong... Welcome to Simtropolis...

To cure those nasty brown boxes, you need to check to see if there was a Readme file with the station files that you downloaded. You are missing what are known as 'Dependencies'. They are other files that are needed for the downloaded content to appear correctly. They should be listed in a Readme file or in the item listing. See here for more info if you want... Scroll down to the Brown Boxes and Dependencies section. Hope this helps...

I know pegasus came out with a mod a while back that reduced the boxes a while back to a simple color smudge small enough to make it easy to see the missing props at close zooms and make them negligible at farther zooms. Search "brown boxes on the STEX to find it. And make sure you have every one of those dependencies or else the lot is a total loss.
