The props and the hotel shuttles that are spawned by the hotels are done with the game's van model. I borrowed the model of the white van and applied a new skin to it. That is how they have been done. I am working with Redlotus to see if I can get a BAT model to work as a driveable vehicle. So far, it is invisible. It's driveable, but you can't see it. All that is visible is the damage indicator diamond that is over the vehicle. I'll try to get the Ritz van done soon and get the Mariott van started.

I'm uploading this weeks lot early.  I am in a hotel that charges by the 24 hour period for internet, and don't plan on paying for more than one day. I won't be back online until Tuesday (I hope Tuesday, new hotel....)

The Marriott is coming along pretty nice, I don't have any new pics, but I am working on the final detailing.  I think the niteliting is turning out to be the most realistic I've done to date.

Thanks all!  This one is going to have to be delayed a little, due to a minor glitch on the lot.  I used some beta overlay textures that Geoffhaw is working on, which won't be ready for a week or two.  Once they are released, I'll release this one.

In the mean time, I started something from a building I saw in Atlanta this last weekend.  It's still in the design phase, but anyone want a Coke?...

Here's a preview of the progress I made last night.  I was surprised that there were only a couple pictures to be found of this one, so I am just using the origonal for inspiration.  Right now, the main body is about done, I just need to do the detail work.  Stuff like the roof, lights and street level.  I'm going to keep this fairly simple, so that shouldn't take too long.  I think the sign turned out pretty good.

Hey Goob, I haven't played SC in a long time, so I've been away from Simtrop. But I come back and my jaw drops at the stuff you've done. BRAVO, I say!!!

I look forward to EVERYTHING you create in the future. And if you ever need some inspiration, let me know. I have some beautiful buildings that I know only you and maybe a couple others could do.

Yeah, I got a little crazy on the details for the Marriott.  It has about 40 rooms all together that have details galore : beds, dressers and people in a few. The rest of the rooms have curtains up.  Some of those I used the normal nitelite settings at low intensity, to give the effect of lights on behind the curtains.

The Coke building is close to ready to render.  I noticed a few details I want to tweak some more.  I'm trying to make a roof that isn't too cluttered, but not empty either.  It looks like there might be some skylights up there in the pics above, so I'll play with those tomorrow.

Hey SG i forgot to tell you after you do the Marriot and the Omni you ought to think about doing the Peachtree  tower because its really the westin hotel in downtown atlanta its a really pretty building and I think you would be an even more better Bat developer than what you already are.

Coca-Cola World Headquarters, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, N America, World, Solar System, Milky Way, Universe! 25.gif

One of the coolest buildings in Atlanta, I would suggest another Atlanta building you probably saw, the CNN world HQ and OMNI hotel, looks like something you would do, Great Work, can't wait for 2nite!

Holy smokes those look great! That Marriott is incredible, the person in his room, the detail, this is sure to be a 1000000/10! You really make playing SC4 a lot more fun with the awesome projects you create! Just curious, did you find the font for the Coca Cola sign? It looks cool10.gif

Seriously if this wasn't a BAT projects thread, I would have seen that Marriott picture and thought it was real.  Can't wait for that one to hit the STEX, great job!

The Coca-Cola building looks pretty neat too.  Always Coca-Cola! 1.gif

Did you base your Mariott Tower off the one located near the I-75/285 interchange in the Windy Hill area of Cobb County?

I'm not sure where that is, but this one is based on the one in Richmond, VA.

Here is something else I am playing with.  I'll be tied up in a sales meeting the next few days, but hope to come back and finish it, and render the Coke building with the sign lit up.  This will be a Brew Pub; the kind of place that is a restaraunt and a micro brew/idealbb/files/BrewPub02.jpgery.

Hmm...you could also make it have a small hotel type thingy-where weary travellers can get a drink, tour the microbrewery, and then, crash for the night. Interesting...
