uuuuhhh, New York is already on the base game.

The New York map provided by the game is inaccurate and it just barely includes the small northern portion of Staten Island

Works Perfectly! This is just about the ONLY New York City map that works. As others have mentioned, the map was too big, at first. Just rename the new_york_config file to "config" (Windows will and .bmp to the end of it, if you add it yourself, the file will be wrong) and it works perfectly!

The name of the .bmp file should be simply 'config.bmp'. This one has to be renamed.

TO USE THIS MAP: Create a new region in SC4. Quit SC4. Delete the config.bmp in the new region's folder. Download the BMP and JPG from here, saving them into the region folder. If necessary, rename the BMP to "config.bmp". Start SC4 and open the region. CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-R Choose the greyscale JPG. Wait awhile. Voila.

I tried this and I'm going to delete the New York Map in the game because I tried this and there is two new yorks.
