McDonald's 1.0

Can I use this on my Macintosh client? I get a .rar file. I tried putting it in package contents/Contents/Resources/, but it doesn't show up in-game.

howabout some actually good lookin skyscrapers to replace the crappy maxis ones? and can u make them regular, like woodmen tower, omaha nebraska, they have too many crazy lookin buildings, nothin normal.  AWESOME job tho

So when is McDonalds inc. going to order/sue you to stop distribution? Or buy this nice design? Did you notify them? 

Pure curiousity here, wonder how they would respond... besides the keep up the good work!

Amazing work but does this contravene Maxis' rule about copyright :

1. Mods must not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property right of any third party and will not include content that is unlawful, tortious, defamatory, obscene, invasive of the privacy of another person, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, racist or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate. SimCity has an age rating of ESRB Everyone 10+ and PEGI 7, and similar ratings from other ratings boards around the world. EA requires that Mods not include any material that would not be allowed under these ratings.

I'd like to install but worried that they would ban based on this?

I don't suppose there's any way you could revisit this (wonderful!) mod (and Burger King) and update them so they don't disappear when futurised?  Maybe design an awesome futuristic McDonald's just for fun?  I was having so much fun with this (it really shouldn't be this much fun), and I sincerely hope you can make it survive CoT futurisation. :)  Thanks for the awesome mod.

Thank you for all your hard work. I had seen your buildings on YouTube and had to get them.  Now all those little Sims need is a good bar or pub and maybe few (Bleeped) Clubs, ok Just a Normal Club. LOL

Oh come on; this is cities of tomorrow, not "kill your sims with mcdonalds of yesterday" :) jk I had to laugh when I saw this available, even though I don't really want it. I guess I need to read more into what bonuses it gives. The only thing it should do is be a historical monument for tourists "This is where we was and this is where we are now; don't go back there!". I dont know why any mcdonalds would raise land value; it should lower it :). Honestly, I would make it only raise LOW wealth land value. SInce when has someone in real life went to Saxe or Nordstroms and left shopping saying "I really want some mcdonalds right now?" :D

What are you talking about?

• You don't need studio max to USE this mod; just put it in SimcityData folder of simcity install
• yes, studio max works on mac so you can MAKE YOUR OWN MODS.

 

You're talking about doing two different things in one sentence, making mods and using his mod.

1. You need to zone low density - medium wealth commercial to have it.

2. You can't plop this building since Oppie just had to replace a an existing commercial building design and redesigned it. Sad part is... you have to wait for it to just  show it up in your city so the best way to go is to let your medium wealth commercial demand go sky high to up your chances of getting this building and make sure you don't upgrade your roads so that it stays on low density.

 

- But if you're asking for the building model that Oppie used to replace with this mod, I guess you'll just have to ask him that personally. :)
