I like utility lots of all kinds, shapes and sizes, they're always useful, especially when they're small and do a big job. It looks darn bad and unreal having a Waste to Energy, a big Watertreatment Plant or/and big Powerstation (and so on) in every citytile in the region. Maxis didn't think right on this one.
This is a sort of a "Waste to Energy" lot , using daily compost as a flammable gazproducer, which is then pumped underground to pipes to a bigger Burning Station in another part of the city,(you have to get your imagination to work for this part) therefore producing electricity and using compost (in this case garbage).
1x1 Lot that you can plop in areas where a BIG Plant (Waste-to-Energy) is not wanted. It produces the same amount of energy as the Maxis one, but less pollution and Sims don't have that smell developped as we humans anyways. So, you can plop it close to Residentials. It doesn't cost too much (150§ if I can remember right) and only costs very little for maintenance since the Garbage Department already takes care of it.
You will see a few garbage trucks bringing in the compost though once in awhile. The idea for this came from my last upload, the sandpile energy lot, while abcvs mentioned something about a "bio-fuel outhouse" in its comment section. Thanks man.
I am working (or will soon be working) on a bigger LOT like this with a bigger BAT that will produce bigger amount of energy and rotten larger amounts of compost. In the MyDocuments/Simcity4/Plugins folder, create a new folder, name it Nexis and insert this lot in there. Then remove, relocate or delete the pictures and the Readme file. Keep the Gamefiles though if you want it in your city. An empty folder doesn't give you much, right?....
