About This File

From the read it:

    Slope Conforming Windmills

Description: Windmills which can be plopped on rather steep slopes without looking (very) ugly. Half an afternoon of BAT tinkering and modding.

Sadly I can't make the concrete base any smaller... or discrete. The main problem resides in two aspects:

A: Poly count, since this is something that should be plopped in large numbers. I thought about making a cylindrical base, but it'd increase the poly count to unecessary numbers.

B: The fact the windmill prop of maxis has a base itself, which appears through the base prop, so I had to make a big baseat least as big as it to cover it too.

    Installing

Just unpack on your plugins folder. Subfolders are sorted out properly.

If you just want one of the two lots (invisible textures or plain ugly green texture) you can remove the other lot.

    Included files

SCWM_MasterFiles.dat - Master file with the base model and the query sound

Up2x1_WindPower25_b79d4dc1.SC4Lot - Lot with a transparent base texture. - WATER GRAPHICS BUG PRONE

Up2x1_WindPower25_grass_b79d9dad.SC4Lot - Lot with the standard grass base texture

    Dependances

NONE, Zero, zip, nada!

Oh wait there's one. DO NOT HAVE the BDS stupid texture installed (if you have no idea what I'm talking about just go on and install, you'll be safe)

    Stats

Same as maxis windmills.

Plop - 500

Monthly - 50

Power produced - 200

Although I added a very extended longevity to them.. LE prop says they can live up to 900 sim years... Methuselah anyone?

Anyone else getting the "Black Hole" bug when they plop these?  The same bug that affects a few other lots and the only way to fix it is to switch to Zones View and then back to normal view when it happens?  I thought maybe I was missing a Dependency but then I came back here to this launch page and re-read the description and noticed that the author claims there are no deps.

I really like this lot and I could incorporate it into a few of my cities which have lots of hills and mountains, plus lots of farm land, but I can also do without - I have enough other power solutions... I just hate that damn "Endless hole to China"! lol
