i tried to do the same thing. but yours is already here, so...

i took it out, and all the city became red (of pollution).

This turned my city into the Chernobyl of air pollution -- even after I removed all instances on my avenues and removed the plug-in from the directory. That didn't work. So at least to save all the terraforming work I had done for the marina, I destroyed everything and dezoned the entire city. It STILL was vivid red. I finally had to delete the city. Fortunately, no other city in the region was affected. Be forewarned!!!

I have decided that it's a case of buyer-beware, or else a full April Fools prank! In the game 12 years later this file is a full kiss of death to the city once you remove the last of it. If you don't remove it there is no red-out and the dang thing works!

I may go to my grave trying to figure out the how and why this happens and way to fix it.

I'd say in the year 2020 (a decade later) and beyond - stay away from this file!!
