Founded more than 2000 years ago, Qingdao turned famous when Germany used it as his Chinese base in 1897. They built many buildings giving the city his unique "Bavarian-Chinese" architectural style. The most European look like city after Hong-Kong. Even the Japanese occupation (1937-1945) wont alter his charm.
The city double his populaton in summer, have a famous Beer Festival in August, home of the International reknown Tsingtao beer (found by German-British in 1899). The tea grown on LaoShan is one of the best in China.
Seaport, Warship port, Top hotels, Top 2 Chinese resorts destination, Famous restaurants (sea food mostly) located right in the middle of the new rich China (Between Beijing and Shanghai).
