After not having found a decent map for one of the finest cities in theU.S., I decided to finally make a map of my hometown Charlotte, NorthCarolina.
Charlotte was founded in the mid 18th century atthe intersection of two Indian trading paths, one of which ran north southGreat Wagon Road, and is followed closely today by U.S. Route 21, and a secondthat ran east west along what is now modern day Trade Street.
It is now the second largest financial center in the U.S., housing bothBank of America and Wachovia headquarters. There is also a condocraze "Uptown" with notable projects such as the EpiCentre, Vue, andAvenue.
