Nice idea! Could be an interessting map! But you should do some rework in PhotoShop or any other grafics program. My suggestion: Download another map with water, flat land and mountains to compare the different grayscales and soften the edges! Nice try, but could be better! ;-)

good job/idea & nice try gp sim is right though- the exact advice i would give. a good map for land just above sea level is san diego or venice (which i did). what program did u use? if u need any help feel free to ask me.
