Thank you... After downloading again the latest NAM and essentials and taking out every other plugins I experienced, that non of the NAM features work. This was about the essentials (new simcity dat files provided by BSC) wouldn't be loaded from SimCity first, but this seems to be important. So after renaming and installing the universal binary update from Aspyr (eventhough I don't have an Intel-Mac and actually shouldn't need it) the NAM is working perfectly within the game and all features are accessable. Now I will clean up my other plugins and bring them back to the game again - so keep your fingers crossed for the NAM being completly accessable after that...

Hello, I've downloaded the latest version of NAM and acutally I don't have any trouble with the bridges, but I could not build any avenues with GLR track, no dragable GLR and some puzzle pieces seem also to not be working - instead of showing the piece my cursor keeps blank when choosing it from the menu. I think I got all the essetial files and fixes and right now no idea what may went wrong. Also a reinstallation of the NAM did not work. I need especially the avenues with GLR for a city project I'm working on, so if anyone has an idea or a solution, please let me know!

My suggestion for a new NAM addon for the next edition: Double decker Road-Road, Ave-Ave and Highway-Highway puzzle pieces We all know the El-Rail/Road double decker puzzle pieces and they work well. Now I had a city with alot of traffic and no place to build mass transit solutions like monorail, elrail or something like that. So what about roads with double the capacity? Just put the outbound traffic on the upper level and inbound on the lower. Same is for avenues and highways. Maybe some special ramps will be needed to devide the traffic in upper and lower levels, but this maybe a solution for havey traffic. So I'm just a player and do not know about creating BATs or Mods, so I will leave this idea to whom it may concern and who feels to be able to make this real. It's up to you - it's just a suggestion...

The Christo Retendor statue of the corcovado in Rio can already be found for SC4, maybe on the STEX or on another SC site. I had it some time ago, maybe I found it on the brasilian site... try out SimcityBrasil

Request for a WINDING TOWER Hey folks, I'd like to request for a winding tower often seen on coal mines - especially in Germany. I have no experience in creating SC4 buildings, so I have to ask if someone is able to do this... Here is a picture of what it could look like: This is a typical example for a german winding tower. You will find alot of pictures if you google for winding tower or foerderturm (the german word for it). So if there is someone feeling choosen for this job and the credit for an outstanding work for the SC4 world, please contact me!

Good start and a hard job to do! I look forward to an interesting and realistic CJ. It will be very intersting how you will manage the several casino styles of this fabulous city! Do you plan to create some own lots and bats? As far as I know casinos aren't so numberous at the STEX... Wish you all the best...

Well I'm with you with the power of Microsoft, which really should be broken by using open source software. But Apple really isn't that expensive everyone alway says: You get a lot more for your money instead of buying an alternative MS system. Also the software is best calculated and you get alot of functions for less than other products offer. This is especially for the Pro software from Apple and the iLife components, which are really powerful and cheap. I agree with the point, that you wouldn't find alot of games for Macs and also the illegal p2p platforms are rare for Mac users. I do using Macs for over 5 years now, having a PowerBook G4 and a Dual 2GHz G5 and I'm very happy with this choice! No crashes for months, easy fixes, no viruses and enormes power! So I'm really addicted and I would love to own a 10GHz G5 system someday, but you really need the need for such a super computer. So HDTV film editing, photo or image works or 3d modeling will be the processes for such a machine. Apple computers were never ment for gaming, although games like SimCity, The Sims or even X-Plane are very popular also for Macs. Hough!

Gimme that Dual Core monster machine plus two 30 ACDs and I will be lucky till the end of my life! But as all the others here, I don't think it has any influence in the SC4 speed. Maybe it won't run on it without a several patches - if at all! I think this is just a machine for HD video editing and hi res photo works - that will never be a gaming machine! As Apple never was...

This is an accurate map of the largest man-made island up to now: The Palm - Jumeirah, Dubai. It's a 4,5 x 6,5 km large island, surrounded by a 11km long concrete. It's designed for the upper 10.000 and their needs for a very exclusive real estate. It's one of three planned "The Palm" islands at the Dubai coastline. The Palm - Jumeirah will be finished in 2006 - but do not even think about it: All homes, appartments and houses are already sold! Also for the upcoming islands... But with this map, you have the chance to build your own luxury city within SimCity... Enjoy! For further information visit: thepalm.co.ae By the way: The attached config.bmp is made for large cities, if you prefere smaller cities just add another config file... -
Actually I don't know any other program but Virtual-PC for Mac which can handle .exe-files. Virtual-PC lets you install Windows on an Apple and you can run specific programms there (not all, because itself uses alot of memory and the original OSX runs also in the background). You may extract and install .exe files with Virtual-PC and copy them to your SC4 Mac-folders. But Virtual-PC is expensive and you also need a Windows XP version... Downloading files from the BSC Mac Archiv (see former replies) may help. They provide most of the .exe files of STEX on a Mac friendly .zip folder for self-installing.
