About This File
Clarence Pier
A real building from Southsea, a part of Portsmouth, UK which opened in 1961. This pier is unusual in being much wide than it is long.
The pier features a variety of funfair amusements although unfortunately the ferris wheel is long gone from the real thing.
The building itself is a pavillion containing the 'Golden Horseshoe' amusement arcade, a Bingo Hall, a Wimpy® fast food restaurant and Pirate Pete's indoor play area for the kids. Fun for all the family!
