About This File
Although Australia is the only continent without any current volcanic activity, it is home to one of the world's largest extinct volcanoes, the Tweed Volcano. Rock dating indicates it was active for about 3 million years, ending approximately 20 million years ago. The central peak, now an eroded caldera, is known as Mt. Warning.
