I figure someone will be asking for this so I thought I'd beat them to the punch. This patch file for the MTP Saw Mill removes the functional transit enabling that allows the game's trains to travel through the lot. By default, the rail siding that runs the length of the lot is fully functional for both passenger and freight rail. The design of the lot intended that this functional part of the rail would be used as a connected rail siding that the game's trains would not run through. The pass-thru functionality is only there for those who would need it for some reason. However, depending on how you plop the lot and how you have your rails laid out, the game's trains may try to travel through the lot. This could cause what those in the railroad business refer to as an "Unfortunate Event" as the 3:10 from Yuma chugs along and plows into the logging cars and crane that always occupy that siding. Of course, in the game, the trains just run through and nothing happens. Its no biggy other than it just looks weird. To prevent that, just drop the single file in this zip into the same folder where your Saw Mill files are installed. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

The family owned Timber Lumber Co. has been in operation since the late 1880s. Its been updated over the years but most of the original structure appears as it did when it was originally constructed. With facilities to receive logs both by truck and by rail, the Saw Mill is able to process trees brought in from distant sources... which of course will lead to additional Logging Industry lots in this series. Literally taking about 3 years to complete, this is most definately the most detailed model I have ever produced. Unfortunately, many of those details... such as pull strings on the window shades and handles on the fire exstingushers... are just too small to be noticable after rendering for the game. But they are still there... and along with the larger, more visible details... add to the final appearance of the model. The Saw Mill lot is a 5x8 ploppable IND-M lot that will self-level itself when plopped. It provides jobs and income from taxes. The mill does produce pollution... but not much compared to other industries... and the impact is limited to the local area. The mill is in full compliance with all regulations set forth by the governing environmental agencies. The lot is transit enabled for both street and rail. The street connection is visual only... to allow streets to connect to the lot's entrance. There are two rail connections to the lot but onlty one of them is functional. The siding that runs the full length of the lot (seen on the far right of the screen shots) is functional for all rail types and will allow both passenger and freight rail to pass through the lot. However, you should ideally connect this as a siding from your mainline to avoid trains running through the train cars on the siding. The other rail connection to the lot deadends inside the mill and it provides a visual rail connection only. Features of the lot include: * Extensive night lighting. * Timed props that appear & disappear through the day to enhance a feeling of activity. *New custom rural streetlight (to be released seperately as an MTP mod). * Animated smoke from the stack. *Custom query with rotating custom query sound effects. * Numerous new custom rail, vehicle & logging props designed for the Logging Industry series of lots. * The Logging Industry lots were designed for the MTP but have been engineered to have a minimal dependence on it. The goal is to allow players to use these lots in any non-urban setting/city without the need to move the required files in and out of the Plugins folder when switching between different city types or styles. These lots and the MTP dependency files can remain in your Plugins folder without affecting non-MTP themed cities. * No trees were harmed during the development of this lot. ** This lot requires installation of the PEG MTP SUPER PACK and the MTP Logging Industry RESOURCE All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -Cori Edit: Made deps clickable linkys.
