BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion

I've got a small question: what way of mirroring objects in gmax does not mess up the textures? -

Inspired by rural German Rail Stations from the beginning of the 20th century. Two versions are included in the download, one version is partially overhanging (to allow freight trains to pass the station), while the other one is fully inside a lot. Stats: Lot Size: 2x6 and 3x6 Capacity: 3000 Monthly Costs: 20 Plop Cost: 1000 Bulldoze Cost: 200 Dependencies: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=27 https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180 https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=475 -

A humble creation to honour the BAT that has crucially enhanced the life time period of SimCity 4. Perharps SimCity is the game with the most custom content avaible, at least no other game comes to my mind. In the game the lot serves as a park. Lot Size: 1x1 Plop Cost: 750 § Monthly Costs: 15 § - No dependencies. -

BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion

I have a new question: after almost every time when I get a fresh BAT of mine into the game, the night lighting on custom content doesn't work anymore, although it did before. Does anyone experience similar problems? And is there a way to solve it? I certainly do have the necessary patch installed! -

BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion
anubis89 replied to Jasoncw's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Hi, does anyone know how to make the BAT render 2-sided textures correctly? I have the problem that those texture are only rendered on the side of the actual face - the other is not visible. 2-sided textures really make modelling much more easier and faster and therefore it would be quite a pity if rendering them isn't possible -
About Sizes of Objects Created in the Gmax and in the Game
anubis89 posted a topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
I am really confused by the fact that there is a significant difference between the scale of an object in the gmax and the same object in the game. Just leaving the model's size unchanged makes it look ridiculously small in the game. Even if I enlarge the model for about 133% on the z-axis it still doesn't fit , it still is to small compared to other buildings. Those who have any of my bats in their plugins folder might have noticed my problem. Although I rescaled the last one by ca. 133% on the y and x axes and 160% on the z-axis it nevertheless appears to be to small. Even the original buildings from maxis seem to have different proportions! So here is my question: how do you solve this problem? Is there a scale which can always be applied to objects from the gmax? Thank you in advance! I hope you understood my point -
That's what happens if you don't have the dependencies for a download: https://www.simtropolis.com/omnibus/index.cfm/Main.SimCity_4.Getting_rid_of_brown_boxes_in-game

Creating Arched Windows - help requested
anubis89 replied to Maxlmantis's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
1: Draw a rectangle (1) 2: draw a U-shape with the line tool inside the rectangle (3) 3: draw an ellipse where you want to have the arch (2) 4: Convert the ellipse to a spline and delete the segments you don't need. 5: Attach the other shapes you have created. 6: Select the vertexes at those spots, were you have two (or maybe more) of them at the same place and then weld those 7: After you have welded all these unnecessary vertexes convert this object into an editable poly (if you have the shape filled out (on one side) after you have done that then everything is correct, if not you probably did not weld all of the vertexes) Now you can convert the object into an editable mesh, select the edges of the window and extrude them. You probably will have to smooth the object after that. At least that's how I do it, there are other ways too.. -
