Well, here's another building that I find pretty cool Here is the Bank of China building in Hong Kong I like buildings that use modern techniques such as glass. Here is one that is not amazing but cool looking, especiall when put in London The Millennium Dome which was a total flop

To me it actually looks ok, the only thing that matters is where it'll be places, it its in a downtown area, it will surerly blend in, but in a suburban, countryside area, it'll look horrible

It looks cool, but to me its just a tiny bit complicated, To some it may be a great landmark, but to me it's an eyesore. I would personally not want that thing in my backyard. EDIT: What's with the massive hole in the middle EDIT2:I mean hole(S)

Why not denser suburban development?

Well, I have a simple and short opinion, instead of a world with dense suburban communities that travel 50 or 60 miles to work. Suburbs are both inconvenient and not environmentaly friendly. Imagine a world where places as dense as for example, Elizabeth,N.Y., like you said, its density it 73,000 per square mile. If you were to say, put Elizabeth 50 miles from New York instead of a couple miles which it is now, It would just be nonlogical to commute to places like New York, Traffic would be horendous, there would obviously be more crime, more pollution, and less building density. If you have tons of medium sized buildings, there will not be the need for large centralized locations with dense downtown buildings where people go. City's are meant to be centralized not spread out where people go to work all over the place. As an example again, New York, is a place where 4.2 million people commute to work everyday. I don't know things at the top of my head, but New Jersey, has a population of 7 million, and New York has a population of around 28 million. I don't know Conneticut's population, but if you add up 7 and 28, and divide it by four, then you can see that around 1/9 or the regional population + 9 million people who live in New York City all work in one large, centralized location. This is why I'm against suburbs and urban and suburban sprawl. Instead of building to the side, build up -

Why are you guys so negative about his grammer. Obviously his first language is not English, plus if you want to post you should at say something that has a slight relevance to the current topic..... Anyway, My favorite building I have to say will be the new Bank of America building in New York. Its environmentaly friendly, and it just plain looks cool. -
Like what other people said, I believe that the new WTC Freedom, Tower is gonna be one fugly building. The first design was much better, with more character and style. The new one is just a box.... with wierd sides, it's like one big wierd box with the sides cut of and a pinacle sticking out of nowhere side. I really don't this that terrorists will want to destroy the WTC again, so I don't know why they had to change the freakin plans. This building is so disgusting now that I don't thik I will go to NYC again. I am a U.S. resident in New Jersey, and live like 20 miles from NY. Anyway, here are a few pics of the old ,really nice Freedom Tower The new one is a piece of crap. Terrorists won't attack the same building twice... that's the only reason they changed the designs. They believed that the building was too vulnerable because it didnt have enough concrete support, the steel support beams were placed outside the buildings as well as inside, and there was too much glass.... Yea, Bullsh!t

The point of this thread was to allow people to see the best buildings without having to search them and see opinions about them. Hope this clears up any confusion.

Today, many uploaded buildings put on the STEX are just put into categories such as Commercial, Residential etc... so you don't want to go searching through 30 or 40 pages of buildings, this is why I have created this thread. It's an easy way of putting up links to the best BATS around. Simply write the name of the buildings, the author, a link, and a pic. Remember that the pick size limit is 800x600. Please do not post links to cheat lots, such as parks that give you $$$$ Let me start this of.
