  2. Three Rivers Region

I have been lurking around in this CJ since the beginning, and never commented. Well, i decided to now. I found it pretty useful that you linked that various slope mods, as i was looking for the BRF mod, and couldnt find it, so i was using the Bones1 mod. I really like the way you write this CJ, in a friendly, open way. The little road signs you post are amusing, and so is your writing. I really enjoy this CJ
  3. City of Neims

Wow, this city definatly seems intresting. The rail system espicially. I will definatly start checking in regularly. The Heading picture got my attention,
  4. Railroad/monorail regional planning

Idleness75 - Not really, because of the fact that you dont want the roads to be the main transport type. You want to have the MT the main transit type. MT is not just to lower the congestion on the road (although that is what some people think the point is) but also to have the faster commute time. In one city, I constructed the (main parts)MT system WAY before most of the development. Due to the exremly short commute time (just 17 min) the city boomed, jobs appeared in the thousands, RES demand went sky high, and the city was VERY sucsessful. I constructed additional lines to ease the conjection on the subway + rail + GLR (all interconnected) system. It is very benificail to have a completly interconnected system, so the sims can go everywhere the transit goes much faster, without having to switch transit lines.
  5. Railroad/monorail regional planning

You replied while i was typing. Well, when population gets big, the main choice is subway, connecting to rail and almost every other type of MT, except for monorail. This is why I VERY rarely use monorail. Try to have main emplouyers, like downtowns, CBDs, industry areas. From there, just start branching to the RES development, where bus transfers to rail, and then to the employers, to station, and station to bus to building.
  6. Railroad/monorail regional planning

Well, it seems to me that it is more a style of planning. If you are to only have one line running through your region, then (depending on the destinations, it may be very busy or just the opposite. What i usually do is I have Several major lines leading to a downtown type area, and branch off into the suburbs, where a large loop usually forms (in segments with the expantion) Since the line leads to downtown and sububan CBDs (main employers) they get lots of useage.

  8. LOFTON the first razor sharp map

Ohhh! Never mind. I get it now! This is a tuutorial map thing, and we have to make it on owr own. Disreguard my previous comment. thanks
  9. LOFTON the first razor sharp map

Good idea. In almost all other cases, I cannot use an embankment set or make a large shipping port. Simple, but useful. For an honest rating according to the small messages next to the numbers, i would give it a 7. Please first look at the little messages..
  10. eBay-Part I.

Wow!! Awsome! The downtown looks great, very detailed. You can easily imagine it being real. If the current downtown is so detailed, I wonder how the moified downtown would look. The sunken highway is awsome!! What are the walls called, I have seen them several times and have never found them... please tell me. Overall, great update, ths CJ will go into the favorite CJ list of mine. I wonder what the new update will hold...
  11. eBay-Part I.

This update was awsome too! Are you just going ot show pics like this, or are you going to show more development, and/or city councle point of view? Are these sort of updates a lead in, or are they more of just to showcase the regoin? Either way, this CJ is AWSOME, and VERY detailed!
  12. eBay-Part I.

Looks Awsome and detailed! Remember to kill the I-D behind the HT. I also love the idea of the thumbnail regonal view. Lets you know where you are. In other cj's, this gets very confusing! Cant wait till new update.
  13. Building Construction Update thread

Anyone hear about the Fordham? I heard it got approved, but not sure. Could someone tell me? Its to be about 2000 feet tall... Just realized that i put meters instead of feet. Whoa, 2000 meters tall? could i be that stupid??
