A very warm greetings to everyone! Long, long, LONG time SC fan and player here, but only just recently joined the site. Really excited to be part of the community! For my first post, I wanted to show my most recent project, and send a huge shout-out to the hard work of another player! For those who haven't seen it, @mrpittsburgh67 created a truly authentic Pittsburgh metro region map, available here. I took the creator's work, fought with Aspyr's Steam-based v.1.2.1 program for a few hours, got the upload to finally work, and got at it! I identified Pittsburgh's immediate metro region's largest neighborhoods and neighboring municipalities, and then I attempted to align those with the city grid break-down at the region level as accurately as possible. And before anyone else freaks out, yes... I do know it's not 100% precise. I'm super excited to get started and developing each of these disparate 'cities' to make Mayor Yinzer's virtual Pittsburgh just as amazing as the real metro area! Cheers, everyone!
