Need some help making this High speed Train Mesh
Nickayz replied to Razake's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
That's good to hear! I would love to see it on the workshop. I don't mind about high poly count. Especially since my own assets don't hold to this either. I had similiar problems with my MAGLEV train: Steam Workshop::High-speed MAGLEV train Get back to me, if you are interested in a retextured version for your YouTube videos. An easy, but not very controlled way of reducing tris, is limited dissolve. In case you are not familiar with it: Edit Mode -> select the vertices or faces you want to reduce -> press x -> choose limited dissolve Ah, yes. I have noticed those two buildings. I'm a big fan of everything, that is not the standard today's building. So you are Rake- 4 Replies

You don't have to do anything much different. Just model the special cart, import it into the vehicle editor and save it. Like all the other. But you are going to need the Extended Asset Editor 0.5.0 to choose your carts in the correct order. Note, that you have to reopen the editor after saving your cart, so that the new cart shows up in the menu. The train looks stunning by the way! Can't wait for it to be published. What's your steam workshop?- 4 Replies

How do I create modular train stations?
Nickayz posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Hi everyone! I am trying to create a modular station. I want it to be like this station https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1651128432 by vilgard92 or this one https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=589761657 by BadPeanut. Unfortunately I'm stuck at making the moduls snap to each other. In ModTools I changed the "BuildingInfo+PlacementMode m_placementMode" to "OnGround". That way I can place the modul without road access, but it still doesn't snap to the other modul. Do you have any ideas? -

I have the answer now: there is a short road underneath the train track. Mabye this might be helpful for others, too. Thank you anyway.
