Feepa : I'll get you some pics of each one of those areas. The Whitmud area will be changed several times to get the look right. But some work has been done there. Thanks for the request.

This is an excellent job on a real life city. Pleasing to look at for anyone from anywhere. Being the worlds most well known city everyone can relate to the detail of your work.

Edmonton Sept 30th Just some more work on Millwoods. Along with a map from in game to compare with.
-
Vigo : Its very possible that the population will be higher then the actual real region of 1 million. And those are not the experimental farms just south of the university. If you look on the picture it shows the address which is the SE area of Millwoods. I could or should do the University Farms soon. That area of the map is nearly finished.

Ryshtyan : Thanks for the reply. 15 pages is alot to catch up on. But the CJ is a hand made and accuratly measured region. I dont BAT buildings so for West Ed, Zoo, and Fort Edmonton I have to find simular buildings, be creative, or find someone who can help BAT. I used to work in a welding shop part time years ago by the York Hotel so I can imagine what kind of walks home you must have sometimes. If you have any questions or request just ask.

Edmonton Sept 29th I spent a few hours going over Millwoods. Building more curvy roads that drive me nuts. But some good progess. Plus I put in some farms just to get a feel for how the region will play out. With my zone map of Edmonton I have found a higher level of detail possible. Right down to every building type, park, public area, and even where heavy power lines are. Here are a few pics.

ACEfanatic : as requested here are some pics of SE Millwoods and Pollard Meadows Park which I spent an hour on. I am just starting to use some zoning maps of the city. I don't know this park so if you see anything off please tell me. Aswell what area of the south side rail do you want to see? The rail yard along Calgary Trail? If so I'll brush it up a bit. I have some arial pics of it. Pollard Meadows Park, SE Millwoods, SE Edmonton

Edmonton in September I was out Mountain Biking and took a few pics. Many didn't turn out well. But here are a couple. I have been doing work on the region but its hard to give updates because on the region view there is little diff. If anyone has any request please ask.

I'm back from Vegas....had a crazy time. Congrads to all Canadians on the World Cup of Hockey. And updates are coming but due to the curvy roads of the newer nieghborhoods they will be slow.

Eppisgood : 104F eh...lol....Thats too hot. It can get that high here but rarely happens. 95F somedays during the summer. Just this summer has ended horribly. Usualy October is when it gets cold. And not until the end of November is it cold enough to keep out door hockey rinks. Speaking of warm weather. Next week I'm flying to Vegas which should be 100F 38C all week. I'm scrambling to buy new cooler clothes. Also a stop over in Phoenix should be interesting on the way there. Growing up I spent my summers in the Okanogan (BC) and its often 35-40C there. Wake up at 25C. But with Edmonton like this, this week....I'm glad to go.

September 9th 2004 Edmonton can see any weather at any time. From 35C summers ro -50C winters and.......snowy Septembers. This is what I woke up to this morning. Probably be gone in a few hrs...but heres an example of the Great White North.

Beebs : Thats not a nitpick? With any small updates like that its a help. I'm a long ways from building that area right now but, when I do I'll probably leave in the road. It still exsist used or not. Thanks for the heads up. (I went mountain biking down in that area just last week. Being so far out of the way it was the first time I had seen some areas of Terwilligar. I couldn't believe some of the houses and nieghborhoods down in that area).

Its been a nice month or so off. I did a few short hrs work on it today. I should have some close up images soon. Certain areas I'm fine tuning so they look more acurate and some park areas I will be working on aswell as the roads. But here are just a few small updates.

Brett : Anyone who has stepped up and even began BAT projects for Edmonton has let me down. Thats why when the West Edmonton Mall BAt thread started I was a sceptict. To date....beyond a few posted pictures...nothing has been done. And for the Telus building Jbbry decided to retire from ST right before it was done.....so another let down. Others have shown intrest but I cant be bothered anymore. One thing that gets to me most is people who have little meaning behind there word. Stay tuned to the CJ. Updates are coming soon.

Hey guys........sorry for the slow down on Edmonton. I've gone on 2 holidays in the past few weeks. Back packing up Mt Robson and some time in Banff. But work and updates should be just around the corner. Vigo : Someone could do the LRT, for that rail though I have used regular rail. In real life the LRT has its own rail with the CN rail besides it. Out of every single rail in the city these are the only 2 I combined. The main reason is the tight space along that area. Including Manning crossing, Coliseum, and Commonwealth stadium. Pisces : The roads are not curved. If you look at the West Edmonton Mall picture you can see how I get slight bends or dramatic curves. Curved areas take alot of effort and at times are redone a few times. Grandpaporridge : Anyone and everyone can have a blank copy of my map. I use MSN messanger to send it due to its size. Takes about 15min to transfer. newjersey73@hotmail.com sign me up on messanger. And if you start an accurate region like my self I can help you with it. Find you the right map, and show you the scales. Keep in touch.

gsmith99 : Highway 2 upgraded? Trans Canada is a highway not a highway status. Aswell Highway 2 is the busiest Highway in Canada. Vigo : What kind of pictures would you like to see....
-
will_silver00 : My region is nearly scaled the same. SimCity4 (Small Map) = 1km x 1km Edmonton (Small Map) = 1.4km x 1.4km I have it scaled like this so the city lots are nearly to scale for every house. If I used the SC scale the lots for some houses would be to big.....2x4 for example where in my scaled region they are 1x2 or 1x3.....more of a do-able look. So the mall will actually be vs. SimCity smaller then it would be in real life. But still should look very accurate. If it was to an exact SimCity4 Scale it would be the width of an entire small map. And half the height....so take up half of a small map in total.....Its that big. Nearly 1km long.

Jim: you wanted this project and you got people involved. Whats going on..... If you are going to head things or tell people your going to make an effort you need to do so.
