  1. Hey guys! Since the beggining of the year I am working on a project wich I am recreating the city of São Paulo on the game, so here I gonna show y'all the development and what I already made. São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and South Hemisphere, with more than 12 million inhabitants. Founded in 1554, it has more than 1.521 km², so it's VERY populated and has a BIG geographic area. It's such a challenge to try to recriate it on Cities: Skylines, a bigger challenge when it comes that I using a personal notebook to do this, but it's going very, very well! Today the city has more than 200k inhabitants, concentrated specially on downtown and in East Zone's districts. There are metro, monorail, train and bus systems as it has on real life (the transport lines follow the same path as the real lines in São Paulo), the denser areas in game are also the same denser areas in real life (the neighbourhoods of Jardins, Sé, Jardim Anália Franco, Tatuapé, Campo Belo etc). The districts in game also is the same as the real districts in São Paulo, delimited by the same exact roads and geographical areas. By now there are eighteen districts in game (just some of them completely finished, as Sé and Mooca), in real life there are thirty-two. The already-existing districts are: Sé (downtown), Pinheiros, Lapa, Santana, Casa Verde, Butantã, Ipiranga, Mooca, Penha, Ermelino Matarazzo, Vila Mariana, Vila Formosa, Santo Amaro, Capela do Socorro, Vila Prudente, Sapopemba, Jabaquara, Itaquera and Guarulhos (this last one actually is a city from the metropolitan area). I also have a YouTube channel where I post videos about the project, showing the city in all its aspects: the parks, the transport, the iconic buildings etc. In the updates below you will find all of the videos (unfortunately all in portuguese, but most of them are voiceless so that's ok). Also on updates you will find more pics and information about the city in game. Hope you all like it!
  2. São Paulo project

ICONIC BUILDINGS: These are different assets from different creators (specially by Othercakes, who made the suburban houses I will show later). MASP - São Paulo's Museum of Art Located on Paulista Avenue, was inaugurated in 1947, where the avenue was occupied only by expensive mansions. Today the concrete and glass struture is used manly by the young people to meet and spend the time on it's freestanding space. Bridge Octávio Frias de Oliveira: Inaugurated in 2008, this bridge isn't alone in the landscape: behing it we have the CENU North Tower, and following the Pinheiros river we find the Santander Tower and a lot of great buildings. This area is a very expensive one, filled with offices and multinationals headquarters. It's the new downtown.
  3. São Paulo project

THE MAP: All the map was made using the vanilla game tools and terrain.party, nothing more. It covers a 60km² area wich goes from the city of Franco da Rocha, almost the interior of São Paulo state, until Cubatão, on Atlantic Coast, using all 81 tiles. The main water bodies on map are the reservoirs of Billings and Guarapiranga, on city's South Zone. They feed the Pinheiros river, wich going to north meets with Tietê river, the São Paulo's main water course. In the center we can find the Espigão Central (Central Spike), a series of hills that goes from the reservoirs to the Pinheiros mouth. That locality is also occupied by the city's downtown and is also known as Espigão da Paulista due to Paulista Avenue on it's center. On the North Zone we can find the Cantareira Range, a mountain range formed billions of years ago when the continent were still connected to Africa; there we have the tallest point of the city, the Jaraguá Peak, with 1.135 meters of altitude.
  4. Show us your Area view

I'd love to recreate ALL of São Paulo's real area, I even made that comparison using the game's print and a satelite image on google maps to know how much i've been evolved.
