Memory usage goes to 5.5 GB (as usual) then drops to roughly 2 GB, then crashes
TheTobruk posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Technical Help Q&A
The recent Parklife update wrecked my save hard. As per topic, (using Loading Mod allows me to monitor memory usage) the game starts allocating memory, then tries to start the simulation part of loading, drops to 2 GB memory usage and finally crashes. The error says: "object not set to an instance of an object" - a very telling error I must say :| I attach output.log and a report made by Loading Mod about assets. I've been already told that it may have to do with roads (vaguely speaking), but as far as I know since Parklife game is smart enough to delete offending road segments instead of breaking the save, so I don't know what to do. I tried launching the game in --noWorkshop, --disableMods, and with crucial mods enabled. I also checked the compatibility list on steamdiscussions and confirmed that all enabled mods are compatible with Parklife. Any other things I should try? P.S I also made sure to backup the save (pre-parklife) before trying to load it, so every time I made some changes to the settings or sth, I reverted the save to backup. This ensures that I'm not trying to load an already broken save. P.P.S I will also add mod/asset list that I used for my save. output_log.txt AutoSave-AssetsReport-2018-05-28_21-40-16.htm Sprawl Mods.xml -
What does 'flat junctions' mean in Road Editor?
TheTobruk posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Hi, up till now no one has answered a similar topic on the official forum so, being desperate for answers, I wanted to look for one here. Please forgive me for just copy-pasting the original post ------------------------------------------- From what I could intuitively understand was that 'flat junctions' no longer 'flattens' junctions. Here it is in the properties panel in Road modding tool: I also have an excerpt from the wiki, which says that: Flat Junctions: Force junctions to be flat. So I created three experimental roads with that feature (namely 'flat junctions') disabled, thinking that when I create a road going down the hill and connect a ramp to it, it will no longer flatten. To my surprise, it was not the case and the junction still manage to flatten the terrain underneath. To clarify, both the ramp and the highway had the feature disabled. So, can anyone really describe to me what 'flat junctions' mean? Disabling it did not bring the desired results, so I'm completely at sea now. Thanks -
Cities: Skylines - Community Modding Requests

Would it be possible to create a new overlay for bicycle roads and paths to clearly see what your infrastructure looks like atm? It'd really help planning future paths and roads with bicycle lanes, as I don't want to just spam them on every road and place them strategically. Here's a concept art of the mod
