  1. City populations

My record population for a medium city size is a little bit over 700k. If I knew how to upload pics I would show you. It is a skyscraper city, but I use the surrounding cities as a transition to make it look more realistic (City --> city/suburb --> suburb/rural --> rural/farmland). I would show pics, but I don't know how to in these new forums. I found as well that industrial is not always a necessity. However it is more than likely that the cities with the high populations us the demand mod.
  2. Unfriendly Rivalries between cities

Ha ha... a great one here: Boston vs. New York no need to say anymore
  3. TE Mc Donalds

The lot looks the same, however it is not the same. Kevdan's lot is not transit enabled. This one is, which is the point of the lot. I think everyone is being really harsh on this person. Maybe he forgot to post that it used Kevdan's McDonalds.
  4. Easter Egg - Snow?

You can have this year round, however it takes some effort, before you enter the game change your computer's date to 12/25 and it should work
  5. New Worlds TALLEST tower Proposed!!

Being an architecture student... i actually like this building, however it can be placed in a better location. Just the idea that someone is stepping out of the box and using new shapes to create these new massive buildings is amazing... I however am not a fan of Dubai, over all I think the city is too over rated and I keep wondering what they are going to do when they have no more money from oil...
  6. The Millennium Tower by Dareka

What is that building to the right of it?
  7. General Xenotek

    Really cool night lighting... 10/10
  8. The Richardson Building version 1point1

Nice building, seems wider in the real pic, over all nice, I give it a 9/10
  9. Show us your Accomplishment!!

Nice job!! I am looking for a few of the buildings that I liked... any help is appreciated!! In elle_driver's post: - The building in the center-left portion of picture with the curved stair entry - The statue/tower in the plaza In ElmarO's post: - The rocket statue in first and second pic
  10. When looking at the school, not only look at how good of a program it is, but also how many of its graduates are employed after six months, whether or not it has Co-op (wich guarentees employment after graduation), and its reputation. Just beacause a school has a good program does not mean it has a good reputation. Also look at how real their program really is, becuase its going to be a heart ache if you find out after college that your not going to be Frank Lloyd Wright. Look at the amount of time it takes before you can practice, becuase some schools offer a 5 year bachelors program where you can begin to practice as soon as you take the exam wich you can take right after graduation where as only a four year bachelors requires that you go for your masters (another 2 years) before you can take the exam. Don't always rely on big sources as well becuase no matter what the bigger the school, the better the program is going to be. I know that I was thinking the same things you were when I was looking at schools for Architecture. I was looking at Syracuse, GA Tech, Yale, but then again why waste all the money on the big schools, when you can further your research and find a better program for a cheaper tuition and possibly more financial aid. Another thing... I kno its long... is to look at whether or not your going to be you or number 7050, I know this may seem minute now, but when you get to college and realize that your number 7050 and that your professors are only there to make money and lecture, your going to wish that you went some where that you would be you. The difference is that at a smaller college or university, you get a better quality of education.
  11. I am new to Boston this year mainly becuase I go to college here, but I am a native of New Hampshire and would visit Boston often and I must say that Boston has the worst luck when it comes to building things. If I can remeber correctly, when building the John Hancock Tower, the glass windows would pop out of place and fall on to the street below. I'm not even going to go near whats going on with the big dig, but that project has been going on since before I was born (I'm 18 ). Also another thing is that the college I am going to just built a new dormitory, and a month before the campus opened and ppl started moving in, the glass windows began popping out of that too. I think that overall, if Boston is going to plan anything, they should plan over budget becuase its going to cost more than they think any ways, and get stronger windows... and the John Hancock Tower is not a small building: https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//arch_jhancock.gif align=baseline>
  12. I go to school at Wentworth in Boston, which is very well known in New England for Architecture, but I don't know where you are located... however, if you go to www.naab.org , it will show you a list of acredited colleges and universities.
  13. Show us your Accomplishment!!

Aleking... where did you get the highway overpass?
  14. Neyorka Bay Hotel and Casino

I think night lighting could be a bit better but I still give it a 9...
  15. Show Us Your Citys Signature Avenue/Boulevard/Drive!
