First a thanx to Jeronij for letting me upload this. This is a collection of six lots based directly on Jeronij's Modern Concrete Diagonal Walls and are designed to blend in with both it and my Jeronij Concrete Wall Add-On Bat. These are eyecandy stairs to beautify your modern concrete walls. Also all of the fences and stairs are Slope Conforming. Dependencies: None Recomended: AAO1 JERONI TEXTURAS MURO AUTOPISTA MODERNOV2.dat found in the Modern Concrete Diagonal Wallsbat by Jeronij and the Jeronij Modern Concrete Walls AddOn bat by me Buddybud. Once installed, the lots will be available in the Power Menu. ** This file contains an EXE installer for Windows users. -

Rural Sunken Highway Walls - Straight Sections -A big thanx goes again to jeronij for allowing me to use his textures. -This is a collection of 8 lots designed to blend in with Jeronij's Residential And Rural Diagonal Walls Set V1. These Walls are meant to be placed on the slopes of a sunken highway to fill in the green space and add some dimension. This is the first release in a series of highway wall lots. Corners, diagonals, bridge skins and others will follow. -You should use the Road Hole Digging Lot found in Smoncrie's Hole Digging Lots ver.2 to aquire the proper depth for your sunken highway, since all lots are designed for this depth exactly. Random base and top props are found in some pieces to help add variation to long stretches of wall. -Additionally these lots have intrusive overhanging props that project 5m into the highway lot. All things combined these lots are rather restrictive in there use as sunken highway walls set to a fixed depth. The lots are not in a dat so the overhang prop can be easily removed. -All lots come with a wire frame helper that appears when placing the lot. You want the arrow to point to the top for the embankment to function properly. It also helps if you place a road zot at the top of your embankment to help with placement. -Of course this is pointless without NAM, as the upcoming lots will show. This download comes with an html help document all lots found at the bottom of the power menu. ** This file contains an EXE installer for Windows users. **All discussions and support for this product are hosted in my thread Underbridge Scenery at Simtropolis Forums. Please read the html file before you ask any questions. thanx. ***Html links in installer are out of date. use these links for jeronijs sets Dependencies: Jeronij's Residential And Rural Diagonal Walls Set V1, NAM, Rushhour Recommended:Smoncrie's Hole Digging Lots ver.2 thanx to jeronij for texture use swamper for helping resolve some design issues my beta testers, greyvail for being especially kind thanx to andreas roth for help with the menu management lot (upcoming) and anyone else who i might have forgotten -

Hi there, im new here....so i hope i posted this in the right thread... Anyways i was hoping all you knowledgable sim addicts could point me to any overhanging lots that can be place next to bridges and overlap...giving the impression of life underbriges....below are some examples using pegasus sets and marrast embankment set.....it would be nice to see something dedicated to this....if i can figure out the editors maybe ill do it... if there are others please point them out to me ...thanx https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//underbridge1.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//underbridge2.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//underbridge3.jpg align=baseline>

creat monorail lots with curves and intersection ...
buddybud replied to maffy73's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
What your looking at there are called "overhanging props" Essentially props rendered off center in bat. When lotted they hang over into adjacent tiles. It would be a million times easier to bat your own rather then change all the individual fsh files in these. Do a search and you should find info on how to do it but essentially it's very simple and would only take minutes to make if you already know how to use bat. -
Awesome Job!. You've captured the look and feel of Holland magnificently! Keep it up!

Then they closed the forums and the only link provided leads here. What in Dog's name did you think would transpire with such an arrangement???? Seems to me if you blow off a couple thousand people and provide one sole link which just happens to lead exactly here......guess where they are going to show up. I didn't invite theses guys to the party.....it's obvious that the responsiblilty lies with mc, their direction, and the willingness of this fantastic website to take on the trouble. I love simtropolis but ya gotta ask who opened the door and invited the trolls in........thats what i think of their new site I sincerely feel sorry for all the mods that are going to have to moderate this if things don't change pronto....hats off to ya all and thank you. Originally posted by: fukuda MC told us that CXL wouldn't be a CL or SC4 sequel, that it would be a different game. quote> yet at e3 only weeks previous to this the marketing director of mc called the single player componet "much like sc4" article link -> E3 2009: A chat with Cities XL's Alexandre Zambeaux Those are their words not ours. Furthermore that is what they are saying to E3 which happens to be much more influential then we are. So do i listen to you fukuda or do i listen to their marketing director at E3, Seems to me they are willing to tell different crowds different things. A sure way to lead to dissappointment and confusion. Can you really blame anyone with being rather dissappointed by this??. This is by no means a complaint. Just an accurate representation of what is coming out of their departments and their marketing director. I myself will not be dissappointed since i will wait and see since i almost never purchase software on release.....but i know what is being said in some circles is rather misleading. Again who does the public believe.....their marketing director advertising to the world at e3 or...... fukuda........ Bud

Originally posted by: LivingInThePast OK, I've got news...Cities XL is not SimCity. quote> article link -> E3 2009: A chat with Cities XL's Alexandre Zambeaux The funny thing is i found this in an article on massively.com in an interview with Alexandre Zambeaux at E3 2009. The article is dated june the 8th 2009. question - How will this be an MMO? Does it redefine the genre, or simply introduce something fresh? awnser - Well, here's the thing: it's not just an MMO. At launch, the game can actually be purchased off the shelves at your favorite retail store and played as a single-player city-builder, much like SimCity 4. quote> alex happens to be the marketing director for cities xl as seen in the article. So while at the same time they are saying that cities xl is not sc4 in the forums they themselves are comparing it to exactly that at e3. This is the kind of thing that is causing so much confusion. Note the date and when this occured. They are talking one way in the forums and another at e3 in exactly the same time frame. boggles the mind. bud

Originally posted by: aking88 Comparing eye candy based custom content airport packs (not that they are not great) with fully integrated, supported professional products is flawed to say the least. quote> No offence but this comment is highly unrealistic. 99% of off the shelf software is complete garbage riddled with bugs, and support simply dissapears as soon as the product fails to sell. Your comment is purely wishful thinking though i can understand the hopes and dreams involved. Don't get me wrong, i hope they succeed and the game is as awsome as some us are hoping, however until the final product hits the market and it actually lives up to all it's claims, we really can only speculate. If you disagree i highly suggest next time you buy a game you simply close your eyes, twirl around and randomly pick a title. I'm sure you'll be quite satisfied with the professional title. Me im going to play some sc4d, dwarfortress or openttd.....might even switch to linux. All of which exist or still exist because of all the non-professionals out there. Bud

i'm currently using Firefox/2.0.0.12, I know it's out of date but there are many tweaks i use that are unavailable for the newer firefox. Also this is the only site i get these scripting issues. I get an "unresponsive script" that firefox reports is caused by screen.css and layout.css which seem to result in an "overflow" error. cheers. . -
Great news Dirk! Bunny for you!! Please, at every opportunity, remind these kind folks that this community you represent would not exist without custom content!!!!..... Cheers. Bud

dasilva.....By the coarse of action your company has taken there are two possible out comes. With a successful game you have great approach, however if the game fails to reach it's market's target, without modders there is now no hope they will be able to tweak, expand and/or fix it along with the fact that with a failed target, your online content and world will most likely disappear in a relative short time.... With the way of the economy i personally would say it's foolish to expect people to budget for online content..... but then again what do i know? Lets hope you hit that home run for the sake of those mouths you have to feed

Here's a good link to the newyork federal reserve http://www.newyorkfed.org/aboutthefed/fedpoint/fed49.html which explains how the american currencies value is monitored. There used to be three reports the m1, m2 and m3. As of march 2006 the federal reserve stopped advertising the m3.... What this means is that a true value of the currency from that point on is not possible to clearly define. This is the point i made sure i had no outstanding debts and no investments. Essentially we are at a point where the borrower (the us) will not tell the creditor how much he owns or how much he is producing. Because of that over the last 3 years we cannot tell how much money is in circulation. Now since 2/3rds of the american debt is held by foreign countries, that makes the world markets rather jittery and a collapse very possible, especially if at any time all these creditors come back and demand payment. When this occurs as it has been, (bank run in sept etc) then the fed pumps out more money with nothing but more debt and no assets to back it. So in order to get their money back the people providing all the cheap goods will raise their prices to cover their losses. So when you go to buy something it will cost more even though nothing has changed within the country.......if this snowballs pretty soon your dollar won't buy squat. Hence hyper inflation. Hope that helps.... From a personal point of view, learn to live with less and get rid of any personal debts as soon as possible. Then at least you only need to worry about problems in hand. Bud

Hey NCD.....Been awhile since we crossed rails...lol The opim looks awsome. That aside i just wanted you to be aware that you are not alone. As a modder i almost NEVER play the game, and know the feeling about getting something to function PROPERLY ingame.....whatever that means...heh. Also as for the "Advanced Projects: For Experts Only", don't sweat it. I provided extensive html help files with my uploads and it's obvious that some peeps just ignore it and never actually learn how to use it, despite the effort i put in to avoid such things. However, trust me on this, For every bonehead that ignores a read me or sound advise, there are a million that appreciate what you do but never speak up!!!! Keep up the great work. And don't let the ants ruin your picnic. Bud

leaps and bounds!!!! great improvements. I've never really tried the whole "window" thing so i don't have any suggestions... keep it up! And get me a timmie's while your at it...double double. Bud

looking good as usual. I believe that drain pipes might not even be visible in game because they are so tiny, though i could be wrong. Just use a series of small cylinders if you insist. But i think they will just fade into the rest. love the wall textures. Can't wait to see night lighting!!!
