I find it very interesting that I have the two games The Sims and SimCity 4 where in The Sims I'm living in the world and on SimCity 4 I'm creating the world. The two games have similarities in which it has the region view at the beginning, in The Sims it's more of a smaller regional view selection to build a house, and in SimCity 4 it has a larger regional view selection to build a city. I find this interesting of games creating life and The Sims and SimCity 4 are awesome.

Mirror a building using the Lot Editor? I downloaded the lot editor and I have a house where I wanted it pointing in a different direction, it's not turning the house I want I know it's page up and page down, but having the house in mirror direction, I thought it was ctrl M, but it didn't work. It was something I think M for mirror direction, but couldn't remember..

This game of SimCity 4 is growing strong in this community.. I absolutely love it, with the lot editor feature... Over 10 years and just keeps going..

Hi, I love the SimCity 4 game, but... Complete downfall lately that the disc won't play in the disc drive.. I don't hear it spin.. So, I haven't played in a while, I did however lightly cleaned the laser disc, and it still didn't work.. So... I don't know a new laptop I should get or someone might tell on how to fix the problem... So I can go back to being the mayor, and my city however is saved, but if I need to get a new laptop, how do I have my saved city transferred to the new laptop.. Thanks..

Yes, you said it correctly, system restore, I meant to say that, not system recovery.. That however may be the thing to do, because system restore I did, it didn't take it back to manufacture mode, it saved all files, also with the lot editor and when I tried to open the lot, it said it couldn't find it.. I did however deleted all the lot editor files to see if that was the problem, but the error came up again. It's just weird how something works, and then it doesn't. But I may have to follow on what you said. I think I know one thing to solve, does the game have to be installed first, then the lot download?

Hi, when I click the lot editor it says to either save, run, and I clicked run, there is a window that pops up and the error 'unable to read registry' comes up. It's in a gray box that pops up. On this laptop however, I had to go through a recovery, but it didn't go through by starting all over back to manufactured mode, it started up with saved previous files. The reason for the recovery was because it couldn't start correctly. Before the recovery, it worked fine with the download, and I could use the lot editor. But after it seems like it can't download at all. First question is "Did you download your SimCity 4 Deluxe" from Steam? If so, then the Lot Editor and its manual are already embedded in the Steam installation folder(s) and you can just make desktop shortcuts to them on your desktop and you're good to go. Hi, well I have the game itself on cd, and the game was loaded on here. On that website I didn't seen any downloads.

Hi, I need help on a link to download the lot editor. I did go to Sim Devotion site and the computer download said, unable to read registry, for the download. Is there any link someone knows for the editor, I miss making my own lots.

In the game play, the residential street is a gray color, but I wanted the color to match the roads and avenues which is the black color.
