Thanks a lot. I don't really like sandbox mode, I don't mind the million dollars but all the buildings come already upgraded which I do not like, it denied access to some of the structures I think for example the first town hall, because of that I always play normal mode. Plus its more of a challenge which is fun, having to power both of the cities in this journal with the wind turbines got a little crazy, I would have to only play Windmill Hill for a few game hours as it was a -20k in the red(and still is, needs constant cash infusions), a big time burden lol, have over 50 advanced turbines. Thankfully soon my sims will develop the clean nuclear energy Also excited that they finally released churches, need to plop one of those Stone ones in St. Matthews Retreat

Plopping signage and flags, etc.
Pytharchimedes replied to Rufus Honker IV's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Good question, thought it was rather pointless the signs and flagpoles cause usually u cant see the flag poles and rarely is their more than one spot to put the sign...sign should just come already installed -
I will try this thanks alot.

Oh well, did a full game reinstall and I still do not have a Subfolder "Tools" in my NAM folder, can someone give me the direct path to where that file is located? Full install from SC Devotion and I cant seem to find it.

I may have fixed it, I went to this site http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php and just downloaded and applied the patch to my executable. If I use Simcity Launcher do I have to apply it to that executable as well, anyone know? Thanks for the help also guys. *edit* Nevermind, even after patching the executable when I run the game when I move around the map the calender does not even advance untill a few moments after stopping scrolling around. Something is definitely wrong I guess. If I were to do a complete re-install, can someone tell me how to save a region I have been working on?

I did that like 3 times, the problem is it doesn't give me the prompt at all anymore that it gave me the first time.

My brother was playing the game beforehand and when you shut down the game in Steam it leaves a Simcity 4 process running in the background, and yeah it said "can not run executable". I don't see a folder labeled "Tools", it goes from "Street Addon Mod" to "Turning Lanes" in the NAM Folder? Any idea why it wouldn't be there?

It was like a message when I installed NAM that said something along the lines "this mod makes the game use more memory or something and it was going allow the game to use more memory by doing something" It prompts you right before the actual install, but I had an error when I did it for my main computer and then even when re installing it doesn't seem to give me the prompt to make the change anymore even though when it tried to do it the first time there was an error. What exactly is the 4GB patch?

Hello all, I ran into a bit of a problem in that when I was installing my NAM a process for SC4 was running in the background so when it went to assign more memory for the game to use to help with the NAM it said "can not run executable". So I dont think it was able to do it, I even tried a reinstall and it never asked me to assign the memory again. Now it also seems that my game is slowed down so I am wondering how can I assign more memory or whatever it was that the install tried to do? Thanks in advance

If there were a "NAM for 2013" mod package, but EA keeps the DRM, will you still buy SimCity 2013?
Pytharchimedes replied to GeometryMath Algebra's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
According to this Article http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/03/08/simcity-is-built-to-be-moddable-say-maxis/ Simcity 5 was "built to be moddable" so once they release an expansion with a mod package I think that Simcity 5 will really start to shine...of course they really need to open up the city tiles or make the tiles literally right next to each other like simcity 4. Once Simcity 5 has entire regions to build on, terraforming, and is open to modding for unique ploppables.... I think it will eclipse simcity 4 completely. For now though I am playing both...even though Simcity 5 gameplay and fun factor are leaps and bounds ahead of simcity 4...building on the entire continental US is just to awesome -

Purchase energy from the nearby town: Problems.

What region and what two cities did you build (the original names) I will take a look, the roads that need to connect are not build-able. -

Are you sure because most regions have "clusters" of cities that are connected by road but other "clusters" of cities are not connected together by road, maybe just rail or water or no connection. Once you make sure you have a road connection then just make sure you have a surplus of power on the one city and then switch to the other and it should show up in region view to buy...if it is not showing up to buy then maybe some sort of glitch or something.
