I just got the Windows 8.1 Preview. I was wondering if it will work on Windows 8.1?

I got the installed copy of SC4 from Amazon but is there a way to get it working on Mac, using a wineskin or playonmac wrapper? The version comes fully installed from Amazon.

Amazon Download, I downloaded it from my PC and copied the files to my Mac. Then I ran the setup.exe from the list of files shown in the screenshot.

I used the test feature in Wineskin with -intro:off -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32 -d:directx and when opening it the screen turned static with the music playing in the background so I closed it out and when I clicked on view test log that poped up. So there was no error messages.

You would need to use wine to run the generator.

I got DirectX 9 and tried ddr=gdi and it still didn't work.

Can you provide me with step by step directions?

It is giving me a direct draw error after installing.

Thats all the Amazon version came with. The setup exe does not work.

The update might have broked the skin. You would need to delete the files that were changed and run the recovery.

I want to know what the patches fix or add. Is there a log to that? Also do you need to install anything besides the patches?

Do you have to activate the CD version?

I heard around the internet that there is a code to activate online at https://activate.ea.com/gameactivation.do is that true?

Is there a key somewhere on the package to download it online.

Is there any special tweaks for it to work on Windows 8? Also can you get it on Origin if you have the cd?
