I have recently been working on a city in a region made with SC4Terraformer. Suddenly, whenever I open it, the game crashes. It was running perfectly well yesterday, and this morning, with no new downloads, it is crashing. I tried removing the plugin folder, and that just made it crash faster. Earlier, the game had had crashing issues related to some building or another, but I removed a few plugins and it went away. The problem only occurs with that city. All the others in the region are still in God Mode, and they work. I'm running SC4RH with latest NAM and RHW. Comp Specs: Pentium 4 @ 2.93 GHz 1.99GB RAM Integrated Intel Graphics and Audio

I don't know that it would make SC5 obsolete. If SC5 is going to be a full-3D game, then an open SC4 wouldn't affect it. In fact, it might re-open a niche market for SC4 as the SimCity for the savvy, and SC5 as the SimCity for the masses.

if landmark menu is full...
simzebu replied to AsianEvolusioner's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I don't think so. It might be in theory, but by that point your game would be so slow that you would never be able to open the menu to see. -
Changing the virtual memory didn't work, and I defraged last night. I'm about to test it again, and if that doesn't work I'll try removing plugins. EDIT: I tried it with plugins in, and it crashed, and I tried it with all plugins out (Both program files and my docs) and it still crashed. This leads me to suspect that it's something to do with the program itself, so I'm going to reinstall and see if it works then. EDIT2: My RH disk won't let me install because it can't copy Simcity1 and 2 .dat. I tried cleaning it, but it won't work. So I'll just have to stop playing that city and move to a different one. It's too bad. That city had been turning out really well.

Can you post a picture for us, c2004? -
Plugins folder: Size: 995MB Size on Disk:.97GB Virtual Memory: 3072 MB The snapshot is exactly as it should be. 20 lines puts me in the middle the Registers section, so I've attached a zip file with all the exception report files from this month. exceptions.zip

By the WP definition, this would not be software cracking. I assume serial numbers and the like are not being removed. And the copy protection will not be altered. My guess is that the end result will be a program to edit the exe, rather than replace it. I agree that the best way to go about it would be to make something work, and then contact EA to see if they'll let it be distributed. I think there's a good chance of it. Oh, and Meastro444. Don't worry about your English. It was fine. You have much better English than many Americans. (Though some might make the argument that they aren't native English speakers... )

I'm convinced the person who coined the phrase "intelectual property" was being ironic. Anyway, I hope this is possible. That would be wonderful for adding new features.

That happens every December 25 (real time) above certain altitudes. You can download the extra cheats DLL that's floating around here somewhere, which will allow you to do it all year round.

1) log in to nationstates 2)Click "THE WORLD" 3)Type "Simtropolis" in the region search box at the bottom of the page 4)Click "move {Nation} to Simtropolis!"

That's a Maxis bug. Everyone has it. I don't think it can be fixed.

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
simzebu replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
So, with all of the different things being name-changed and canceled and added and all that, I'm a bit confused as to what is still going on. Could we maybe get a list of what is still going to be made at some point, and possibly what networks will be dragged to make it? Also, with the MHW-8C, I think if you could put a concrete barrier or something in the middle there, it would look more realistic. Eight lanes of traffic in that proximity at that speed would need a barrier. We have exactly that situation on I-90 here in Albany. I'll see if I can find a picture.- 3,919 Replies

I don't think they're that tight. If you consider the scale, the radius of that interior turn would be only a few meters. Basically, lie on the ground with your head against the wall. mark where your feet are, and lie with your head where the mark is. Where your feet are now is a generous guess of the interior radius of that turn, if it were a 90 degree turn in a 2x2 space (rather than the 3x3 or 4x4 that the game has as its minimum). An 80m (5 tile) radius is quite sharp for any highway, and any area with a turn that tight would have a speed limit of at most 45 mph. So if you are looking for realism, that is completely out of the question.

Hello, everyone! This is Audland/Kedalfax/Giotizia/Simzebu, posting to let you all know that the map is now re-opened for requests. This is the current map: You may claim any unoccupied spot. Please post the following in your request: Name of your nation Color Approx. Coordinates (e.g. The pink nation at O-19) (Numbers and letters are along the edges of the map) Neighboring nations (if any) Please check through any unanswered replies to make sure you are not requesting a previously requested spot. EDIT: And Metro Houston, I just noticed that your canal zone is miscolored. I'll fix that next update.

I'm sure it's nothing personal, M1. I also suspect that there will be left and right hand drive versions released at some point.- 3,919 Replies

It depends on what you want. You can use a realistic layout if you want realism, or a grid layout for maximum function. I prefer realism, but I used to like function. It's entirely your choice.
-
Simple answer: It will be done when it is done. Long answer: There is no set release date for any of those projects, but early versions of the Big Dig, RHW, and suicide lanes can be found on the STEX. Functional turning lanes are part of the NAM.

I think it's spelled Tri Tip (I could be wrong or just slydexic), but oh my God, you're right! It looks exactly the same

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
simzebu replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Um, no, the white goes on the right in the US. So assuming the traffic is flowing the way it looks to be, only the very lowest bridge is correct. (I'm assuming its flow is the opposite of the one right next to it) I also noticed that the bridge has the rumble strips. Not a big deal, but most bridges that I know of don't have them. I don't know if it's possible or plausible to remove them for the bridges, but if it is, it would be better.- 3,919 Replies

Transit-enabled lots have direct entryways for the most part. But no growable buildings can have them. You basically have to ignore it.
