    I would also love to point out that right now mass transit is a joke. Ohh, do you have a maxed out bus terminal, streetcar depot and a train station? 50 minute wait for everyone! Funny thing is, trains pull up and leave the train station every 5 seconds or so, and last time i checked on cheetah speed 5 real life seconds is about 5 in-game minutes. Correction: One of my cities is has a 27 minute wait for the train, with 50 minutes for bus and streetcar.
  2. Thanks, I'm not really sure how I am going to fix this being that my city is already up and going, but I will keep that in mind for future cities. Hows the city next to it in terms of road design and efficiency? I still have to get basic services in, but I have the road infrastructure set up, its a circular city that will become my education city, planing on setting the university up next to the train station.

    The only solution is to buy the German City Set which comes with the High Speed Rail Station. It costs the same as the regular train station, has the same upkeep fee, and carries more people! Only downside is the $9.99 fee.

    I didn't get the link to pick up my game, will it be available on wednesday? Not sure what to get, NFS MO has a ton of DLC, like another $60 of it, seriously EA? Please tell me you won't do this with SimCity. ME3 has been on 50% sale before so I'll pick that up this summer.

    I think it does, I've noticed that when i place a bunch of sewage outflow pipes next to each other the ground turns a nasty brown.
  10. Right now I'm not noticing any major traffic problems, then again most of my cities are around 15,000 sims. You guys have done a lot to fix up this and I just wanted to say thanks. This is just an idea, but could we possible get elevated streetcar roads in the future? That way the streetcars won't interfere with everything else.

    Mine says 16 hours, although I think it is more than that because after playing for my first 9 hours it only said about 5 hours. I can tell this is going to be my new addiction along with JC2, MC, and CS:GO.

    Safly its always on DRM, no mater how you get it, sucks, I know, I'm just going to wait for it to pop up on the seven seas, but thats just me.
  15. Is it worth it? I know the Deluxe edition costs $20 more and comes with some different building designs, but is that it? I heard rumors it comes with more transit buildings and options which would be complete bollocks because from the beta it seemed that transit was a huge problem. Also what about the Limited Edition? What does that cone with because the site has a very generic "mystery item bonus" that you get with pre order... Also will their be modding? And is Origin spyware as I heard it says in the EULA?

    How so, if you use a grid of high density avenues you will not have traffic problems and will have the max use of space, cant be bad.
  17. You can only receive a code if you pre-order through Origin. The code only applies to the list of games on Origin, as well.when i asked if it would give my a code to use in origin i was reffering to if it would give me the code to activate the game in origin, or if the game would he drm free.

  20. Ok, good to know, another question, my moms laptop (my pc's motherboard is dead) has a athlon x2 p340, radeon 3250m, and 3gb ram shared, can i run sim city? Is there a demo i can download?
  21. It used and always online drm service, no connection, no play, and of course the servers went down day one because of how many people were trying to get on it.

Why do I get the strange feeling that the same thing that happened to Diablo III on launch will happen with SimCity, can't that darn game just not use always online drm (aka Origin, the mother of all spywares). I really don't want getting this game, then not being able to play it day one because the servers can't handle it, then having the pirates brag that they can play it just fine. Sigh, why is it that they always get out of these horrible messes, well I hope SimCity doesn't pull a Diablo III on us... Wait, is that what this "beta" is for? Server testing?

    This is pretty pathetic, what was the point of signing up back in august? i filled out the info honestly, do they only want certain age groups, people with powerful pc's, etc?

    Ok also was there just a wave of beta keys being given out, someone said they refresh 1:30 pm pst, and the facebook page didn't refresh so it was 1:32 before i clicked and noticed the nvidia page had the sign ups, but it went away when the site completely loaded, i think I missed my shot, gosh darn you guys are fast.
