  1. Discussion about City Tile Size

    If Maxis/EA cannot increase the city size, then they should think about having continuous regions with the abilty to look inside the adjacent cities. This would please almost everyone and would be great to specialized cities. I hope we will soon be able to edit/create our own regions as well. I want build realistic cities and not always play a game that can be boring over time.

  3. Good comment from Panos. I still have the SC4 way of playing and maybe I should focus on what I have so far with SC2013. Hopefully, we will get bigger maps and closer cities in the region but until then, I will try to transform my cities without over building them. My current region has more than 15 cities with one capital that is doing very well.
  4. New Tourist Attraction / Parks DLCs

    These DLC make me fear that custom building tools like BAT will never be a reality. Who will buy these DLC if developers can do much better. Imagine ... These new parks will occupy 20% of the small city if you want to place them in a realistic way. They should focus on bigger map with closer cities instead of bad jokes like this....
  5. Great post Maarten! This resume the whole problem. Sc2013 is more a game than a city simulator. I envoy some part of it but in general, this game is boring and small maps make it hard to reproduce realistic cities. I like the economy model but it is buggy and this is very frustrating.   6. I would say that population is not enough to provide a constant flow in money. You need to specialise your city....

  9. Irritating way to upgrade the roads

    Parks were more interresting in SC4 and were not dependent on roads. It was also possible with build very detailed parks with bike trails. I wish I could do the same in SC2013.
  10. Anyone else lost interest?

    I am still having fun playing it but I feel very limited by the small city size. Also, cities always end up to look like mini downtowns that are not realistic for the city size. Something that could help would be closer cities with the ability to build in the empty region space. It would be greats to build farms, roads and small neighborhood in theses empty spaces. If CPU power is an issue, this would be great to generate random patterns between cities. This could be forrest then farms then small neighborhood as the nearby cities grow. For sure, when I will have completed my current region, I don't think I will start a new one until they improve the game....

    Zones were more interresting with SC4. Now, it is always depending on roads. At least it was possible to destroy the road and rebuild it on time before the building was abandoned.

    You will get an email from EA... I already got mine and am downloading Battlefied-3. Nice... but I want them to fix Simcity for sure ! ML
  13. NAM General Discussion Thread

    I think this is a known bug with all puzzle pieces when you drag it over a similar transit enabled lot. In your case, try to remove the station then put the puzzle piece then put the station back. This works fine in my cities. Martin
  14. BAT Projects - SimGoober

    SimGoober, your BAT buildings are very nices ! If I can make you a suggestion, try to make some gaz stations. (Exxon, Mobile, CitGo, Shell, etc...) In real city, there are plenty of them but unfortunately, there are only few in the game and among BAT creations.
