Hi After a few years, I finally reinstalled SimCity and the NAM to play again. I have some questions about the railsystem that I cannot seem to find an answer to. 1) I suppose trains do not turn at a 90 degree angle. In the past I always built roundabouts but those take up quite a lot of space. Is there something in the mod that is a rail roundabout? 2) Rather than the basic train station, I can now use the modern train station that is 6 squares long. However, it points to a road connection in front, rather than to the side of the station. That would mean that there is a railcrossing the road at every station. Is that how it's supposed to be?

Do waterpumps get worse like powerplants?

I was getting messages about a lack of water and started looking at my waterpumps and I saw that quite a few were not efficient (I did not even know that that was a thing). I destroyed them and build a new one and that solved the problem. Powerplants have a lifecycle, is there a maximum age or something when a waterpump stops working? -
Government services in one quadrant or spread out?

Hi When zoning new districts, would it make sense to keep a central quadrant free in the zone and put all services (schools, hospital, police, ...) there, or is it better to have a buidling in every quadrant of the zone? -

@CorinaMarie Thank you!. Indeed, regarding putting the pumps outside polluted zones: that works. Since putting them far from industry, they have not been shutdown so that is a positive. -

Ok, that makes sense. I'm not interested in making mods to the files for now. Other Q regarding pipes: I also understand now that you should not lay too many pipes because otherwise the pressure will drop and more parts of the city will be without water. Until now, I simply added a new pipe over a dry area so afgter a while, the pipes looked very chaotic. I am now going to try to lay only parallel pipes and see what happens. Or should I lay them in a different pattern? I am also going to separate the water for industry from the other zones to avoid water pollution. Currently, the green meddlers come into play way too often. -
Thank you. 1) So I don't really have to worry about creating turns everywhere. Until now, I created these roundabout but from what I understand, it does not make a difference to the game. 2) That's great but why are there those arrow pointing to road access? I always thought you needed to place stations specifically to have road access according to the arrow.

Hello To save some space in my cities, I have been looking for stations that can be placed on the tracks. I have found two lots but they are exe files. When I am trying to extract them, I get error codes and hence cannot get them to work. Does anyone have a converted version available for Mac? The two stations are underneath. If anyone knows other on-tack stations, please let me know. Thank you Samuel

I used filejuicer. I only need the DAT file and the jpg file right? There are also some PNG files, Should I put them in the folder as well? SC4 tools is only for Windows it seems, any idea how else I can solve it?

So you would suggest to avoid using custom stations on a Mac? I was looking for a free alternative to filejuicer but the alternatives (Keka and 7Zx) do not work. Any idea for a working alternative?

Hello I just bought SimCity4 Deluxe from Steam. Very happy that I can play my loved game again but I cannot find the folder with the plugins. The app does not seem to have any contents when I click on show packet content (besides Info.plist, Contents/MacOS/, Contents/Resources/. Can anyone tell me where I can find my SC folder so I can install some mods? I am working with Yosemite 10.10.3 on a retina Macbook Pro. I can play the game but I really would like t install some mods.

How to connect small international airport to road

Hello When I want to build a road to connect to the airport's road, my road simply ends, it does not connect to the airport lot. How should I tackle this? Also, where should I build my bus/railway/elevated rail to connect to the airport. I am using the standard airport. -

I am just going to ask what exactly I should do. I am installing my stuff in the plugins folder and in another attempt I made a NAM subfolder in the pluginfolder but when playing I always get the ##intersection placement string missing## message. I have installed the NAM various times and everytime I get this message. I have followed this tutorial but to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I put Sim City 4 Deluxe folder in my applications folder. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I placed the SC folder in my documents folder and the intersection message is not appearing anymore. However, when building the canal, I get some kind of blue square, no boats at all. Also, I cannot drag tranway pieces. I have ti build them one by one. Any idea how to solve this?

I just discovered that I need to build the canal in the parks menu, not in the transportation menu. I am going to try it out

I installed Nam 30 as it is a smaller set than 31. I would not now where to start with Nam 31, there is so much stuff in there. But basically, I should not construct tramways and canals as they will not be working correctly yes?

I pretty much solved my problems: 1) put SC in documents, not in applications 2) put whole NAM folder in plugins and then delete the files you do not need Now: I built a tramway and stations (stations from STEX) but no trams are driving although it is the only way to get to work. What do I do wrong Canals: I downloaded Oppie Canal set but where do I have to put this folder/files.

hello When I try to build an intersection between two highways, I manage to place the structure but the tiles turn green (as if there was nothing built) and the two parts of the highway are separated and have a dead end. Any ideas on how to solve this? MBP, MacOS 10.6
