okay i was thinking to make some more schools for the stex, i already made two but people dont like bland maxis buildings any more, anyway i have some school bats that i downloaded so what would i have to do to be able to put some bat plops with my maxis buildings on the stex?

Nice but hong kong doesnt have the bullet (london) or empire state building, statue of liberty( nyc)

is it legal to take a bat that someone else made and edit the lot? Giving the owners credit of course but is it even allowed
Well, there's no shame in that! The STEX is full of BATs that lack a really good lot, or that could be used for different purposes. You may also find several BATs in similar style, which you could combine to make one larger complex with the Lot Editor. Sometimes a combination of custom buildings and Maxis buildings on one lot also works surprisingly well.
is it possoble to get bat building as plops
Some props flip, I don't know the reason. I found out it's the same with garbage trucks.Another example: People crowds always look the same in the LE, no matter how you rotate them. But they do rotate alright - you can see it in game. That's why you test a lot, right? Make it, plop it down in a test city, check it from all angles, make (mental) notes about stuff that didn't turn out right, go back to the Lot Editor, and fix the problems. In general, I think pure Maxis re-lots have been pretty much exhausted in 2003/2004, before BATs could be made and before a great number of good BATs existed. However, you can browse through the huge amount of BATs we have today. You may find some that would perfectly work in other roles - for example, an office building might have that high school look to it. Add a few custom-made props and textures e.g. for sports facilities, and you'll have a pleasant-looking school compound that doesn't look like the zillionth recycling of vanilla Maxis stuff at all.You can even combine both approaches: If you like a school BAT, but it lacks a gym, you could try making a matching gym in gmax, and put both together in the Lot Editor. For example, someone once made a really cool foundation for the Maxis Statue of Liberty - it did make a differenc, and nobody said "Bleh, boring Maxis stuff". There are lots of possibilities, and the LE is often underrated.
i would like to use the bat but i cant download gmax. i have sketchup but i dont know how to export. all i can use is lot editor
nice work, next school it would be cool if you had more busses in the bus loop, and if their door faced the entry to the school, but thats just my opinion. 4/5
when i was in lot editor the bus door faced the building idk why it flips
3/5 for effort. I can even tell where the Gymnasium is. Nice.Although I think i should be honest. Not everyone's going to appreciate a Relot/combination of maxis buildings. You should get Google Sketchup and try your hand at Modeling! If you make something cool, people can help you with getting it into the game.
Thank you for telling me. ill try using bat or sketchup

This is another suburban or rural type school for your city. its set on 1 floor except for the office. this one is a little bit smaller than my last one. and on this one i made it look more like a northern school and not a florida school. Enjoy and comment! No dependencies required -
