  2. How about a Malaysian Malay dish the Lemang (Wiki page link) it technically glutinous rice and coconut milk cooked in a hollow bamboo tube. Once cooked the bamboo is cut in half and the content inside is cut to several pieces and served with gravy such as Ayam masak merah (Red cooked chicken in english) or rendang (another wiki link) which is a type of spicy food. for drinks i don`t know what to suggest because here we usually serve syrup water or Orange juice.
