A request for Water defenses à lá Maeslantkering Large swaths of densely ppopulated places in my Sim region are located up and around a vast delta of marshed and low lands. In order to protect these lands against flood surges and storms large scale water barrier projects have been undertaken. One weak link remains however! There is one waterway connecting the regions major port to the open sea. As it is THE main port of this region this waterway has a large amount of traffic going through it. (think Panamax, Oil tankers, Containerships etc) and therefor cannot be blocked indefinately. Sat. view View when the barrier is closed Description: A water barrier, like the Maeslantkering in the port of Rotterdam. - It can be static open, so it does not need to be functional or closing. - I think it needs to consist of 2 seperate "lots" a left and a right arm. But if anyone can think of a way to put it in one lot and still have a functioning waterway between them, be my guest! - I think each of the arm lots need to be somewhere in the range of 5 blocks wide(tangantial to the waterway) and 6 to 7 blocks long (parallel to the waterway, but these are my fast estimates to give an order of magnitude. - It is a storm barrier, that is its purpose. There is no need for it if the water can rush overland, so some sort of dyke or elevasion in the lot will be needed. To give you guys an idea, I will post a link to a screenshot with the region in which I am planning to place it below. It is supposed to be placed somewhere between the bridge and the sea. Dont mind the low amount of space over there. The room can be expanded and levelled to any height etc. (Also, the port looks a bit small at this moment, but I have got the designs for the infrastructure and new canals ready . Screenshot Link to wiki page Maeslantkering Why this would be beneficial for the game or community: Why? Well duh! Because it is cool! Because with global warming and sea level rises around the corner we all need to rethink the water defenses of our cities and because this is something different from the average building/vehicle request posted here. This is truly unique. And last but not least, Look at the pic posted above!! You know you want it! If anyone thinks he or she is up for the task good luck! Feel free to PM me, I would like to hear if anyone has decided to take the challange. Regards, Volksgrenadier

I really like this, but the profits are to high in my opinion. I don't think medicinal mari. is supposed to earn a city over 10.000$ a month. Maybe it is also better to decrease the Health, rather then increase it. Because mari will not make you better, it will only decrease the pain and next to that it causes psychologic problems in the long term, which in my opinion should be incluided. But to many positive effects, but great upload. 4,5/5.
