  1. Show Us Your Small Towns

    Saxon, population 100.
  2. South Dakota Wilderness

Schulmanator: Sweet! Yeah it is, it's what makes it fun though Vivapanda: Thank you very much! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Sycamore: Population 244 Like the other settlements detailed so far, Sycamore (named so after the first tree planted in the settlement) grew from a need for an overnight rest stop. Now however there's a thriving community, which is mainly based around the agriculture industry. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hope: Population 841 Located about 6km west of Sycamore, Hope is based on an agricultural industry. Inspired by the successful farms set up in Enning and Sycamore, there was hope (hence the name) that farming could be set up on a larger level. So far it's proving a roaring success. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Maddison: Population 22 Located about 7km south of Sycamore and on the same road as Sycamore and Hope. Maddison is based around a shop selling farm produce from the aforementioned places. It is hoping to exploit the predicted population boom of Meade County.
  3. South Dakota Wilderness

This City Journal is based on a real life map, kindly made for me by Dobdriver and found here: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2745 Area included is the red box: The only places of note found in real life in this area are: Enning http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enning,_South_Dakota White Owl http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Owl,_South_Dakota Elm Springs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elm_Springs,_South_Dakota So basically, civilization had not found this area yet. I will ignore any sort of infrastructure and start from scratch, although I will try and name cities corresponding roughly with anything in their real life place, e.g. townships and roads. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Enning: Population 24 Small settlement that was set up to provide gasoline and rest for people driving across Meade County. A few farms and small houses have sprung up around it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Armstrong: Population 80 Set up for the same reason as Enning, which lies about 18km west. Recruiting people seemed to be a problem as no-one was willing to commute from Sturgis (seat for Meade County, pop 6,000ish) and the motel could not facilitate the required workers staying there. Therefore it's own little settlement started springing up around the facilities.
  4. SPAM Access Roads (SPAR)

I had been looking on the STEX for absolutely ages trying to find something like this and I'd basically given up. Never thought to search for 'access road'. You are an absolute hero, I love it!
  5. The Laughing Moose Showcase

    This isn't a good CJ. It's a brilliant one!
  6. Realistic Resident Mod

    This. Is. AWESOME.
  7. I live equidistant from two stations on London Underground's Central Line. The first and busier of the two is Buckhurst Hill: The second is on the 'loop' and is the least used station on the Underground. I give you Roding Valley: Interesting fact about Roding Valley is that it marks the border between London and Essex; the platform on the north (on the left) is in the Essex District of Epping Forest whereas the southern platform is in the London Borough of Redbridge.
  8. That helps when it decides to play long, like today I had 2 decent sessions. Then did UDI GLR to test the connections, it did a CTD just after I did that. Now when I try and start the city it CTD's after about 5 seconds without me doing anything.

I have a terrain mod and growable trees. I only have the one terrain mod though, triple checked that and I haven't used any of the growable trees. Hole digging lot is complete. Yuppie, used the guide on page 1 before posting. It seems to be an utterly random issue. Where it was crashing after seconds it stopped, and I was able to do about 2 hours before a CTD. Other times however it's crashing how I said.
  10. Tried three cities in one region. Reproduced the CTD in 3 different cities, one which has a population of 40,000; one 700 and a new one that just had god mode trees planted. In the 'Timbuktu' region, put in the plugins and worked fine, added the canal and worked fine. Operating System: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU: Amd Phenom II X4 955 (4CPUs) - 3.2GHZ Deneb 45nm Technology RAM: 4.0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHZ 9-9-9-24 Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A77TD (AM3) Graphics: SyncMaster @ 1440 x 900 ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series VRAM: 2807MB Plugins folder: 2.4GBs.
  11. My copy has decided to CTD now. Building up a city to 40,000 people so far had absolutly no problems and no crashes. Downloaded a canal mod and everything was peachy for a couple of hours, then had a CTD. They grew more frequent, every 10 mins it would crash, then 5 to the situation where now it crashes after about 20 seconds of going into the city. I've moved all my plugins out, set the affinity and priority which does absolutly nothing.
  12. Leicester in the East Midlands in the UK. Second tallest building in the city is 'St George's Tower' which is a complete monstrosity.
  13. Invisible Trains

Nope, it's the games default trains.
  14. Invisible Trains

All I get when a railroad is built and functioning is the little green rail checker thingys and no actual trains. The railroads are fully functional with both passenger and freight trains in use, just not showing up. NAM is downloaded with the correct left hand driving so it's not that. Any idea how to get them to appear?
