  1. Tribute to A Nonny Moose

Rest in peace Nonny. I hardly ever log in anymore, but when I do, I always check to see how he's doing. I never talked to him, but I knew that he was a pillar to the Simtropolis community. This is honestly heartbreaking.
  2. [CSL] Show us what you're working on!

Starting to work on my first actual city in which I put a moderate amount of effort into. Not the best but
  3. Funny Screenshots

Cimtographer at it's finest! It got the railroads right at least!
  4. Feels good to log in for the first time in months. Can't believe I've been a member for 6 and a half years. :)

  5. Sorry if this is the wrong place, I don't usually use the SC4 forums; I was wondering if anyone has any 1600's style mods: for example, buildings constructed by pioneer's after they settled in North America after leaving Europe. Thanks in advance...
  6. Megapolis

I also play a lot of this, mainly on Android and iOS. It's a nice little game, and the resource management is nice. It is a shame that it's mostly pay for play, but I have made it to level 39 in the iOS version having only payed about €10. I would also be interested in seeing some of the designs appear on the STEX. The game has a large variety of designs and most of them are beautiful.
  7. Simcity 2013 or simcity 4

I love them both equally to be honest. I've put well over 200 hours into both of them.
  8. Which Versions of City Life/CitiesXL Should I Avoid?

I play CitiesXL on Windows 8 x64 and I have a quad core i5 and the game runs fine. I have Windows 7 x64 and also have a quad core i5, and the game runs awfully.
  9. Fast residential density growth

This seems to work better with the new patch than 5.0. I literally just started building 3 minutes ago and I'm already getting medium density apartments (low-wealth) with no city services besides power and water.
  10. Which Versions of City Life/CitiesXL Should I Avoid?

If you have a 64 bit system and/or more than a tri core processor, avoid Cities XL all together. You need to download special software to play City Life, though, assuming you run Windows 7. I don't think City Life is compatible with Windows 8 at all though.
  11. BOC Camera

Yeah, it was in non-sandbox mode, thought it was the same in sandbox mode as well for me.
  12. BOC Camera

Sorry, forgot to post back. I tried it, and the controls on the numpad and the zoom-to-building are a big plus. Still driving me nuts that the scroll wheel isn't working, but hey, I don't know how to do half the stuff you do! Also, the fact you can see underground at certain angles is somewhat annoying, but like I said before, the new perspective is neat, and when you figure out how to fix the camera drag/zoom, it'll be a great mod.
  13. BOC Camera

    Downloading now!
  14. SimCity Leads Leave Maxis

"SimCity creative director Ocean Quigley has left Maxis along with lead architect Andrew Willmott and lead gameplay engineer Dan Moskowitz to set up a new studio called Jellygrade." “We were lead developers on SimCity, SimCity 4, Spore and The Sims2. We love making simulations,” wrote Quigley. “We’re making a simulation about the dawn of life on earth; about lava, water, rock and the emergence of the first primordial creatures. Developing... http://www.vg247.com/2013/07/16/simcity-leads-leave-maxis-to-form-jellygrade-studio/ Well, the developer team of SimCity is basically no more; these guys are what made Maxis so special; until EA stepped in. Looking forward to the games they may make; maybe one day we'll get the SimCity we all wanted...with a different name of course.
  15. SimCity Leads Leave Maxis

He said he's over SimCity, not city building games in general. Besides, EA/Maxis owns the trademark, so they can't make their own SimCity anyway.
  16. BOC Camera

I'll try it and report back with stuff. Okay, so I tried update 6 and you're right, it is acting weirdly, but I really like the new perspective. I just wish the camera movement could be done with the mouse, so I hope that get's sorted out.
  17. SimCity leads leave Maxis to form Jellygrade Studio

SimCity creative director Ocean Quigley has left Maxis along with lead architect Andrew Willmott and lead gameplay engineer Dan Moskowitz to set up a new studio called Jellygrade. “We were lead developers on SimCity, SimCity 4, Spore and The Sims2. We love making simulations,” wrote Quigley. “We’re making a simulation about the dawn of life on earth; about lava, water, rock and the emergence of the first primordial creatures." “We’re starting off on the iPad with a fundamentally new simulation engine. I can’t wait to start showing it off. We’re building the new simulation engine now.”
  18. I have a police station, but it seems as though they can't really kill zombies. Does anyone know if there is a way to make it so that the zombies don't attack and make buildings abandoned as badly? I'm asking this because I just lost 90% of a 12,000 population city with a fully upgraded police station.
  19. Is there an effective way to combat Zombie Attacks?

I upgraded it for the purpose of the zombie attack. And thanks guys, I'll try the road technique.
  20. Dirt road

Assuming you're using SimCity Pak, open SimCity_Game.package, click on Files, click the third drop down menu, and click on the first Dirt Road. A PROP file should show up.
  21. 4.0 And Custom Scripts

    Mine haven't disappeared.
  22. 4.0 bug? Sink hole!

What a beautiful view of a...mountain?
  23. Sim City Theme Park Arrives...

It's good DLC. It's come way too early, though.
  24. Euro Road Extended

    Nice!
  25. Paris

Now THAT is cool! Amazing that you zoned everything just right so that every building was french.
