Thanks Evillions. Im not an experienced modder yet. If I do get it going I would certainly use a lot of the buildings I have seen here. No need to reinvent the wheel, just the ground it rolls upon.

Any thought given to expanding the terrain of SimMars to incorporate different planet and moon surfaces throughout the solar system? It would be fun to start up a colony in the moon system of Saturn or a floating research base in the atmosphere of venus. Maybe call it SimSpace or SimSolarSystem. I looked through this forum but I didn't see anything about this. I could have missed it or maybe someother group out their is already doing this. Just thought I would put it out their because as Robert Zubrin says, if humans don't continue to push forward with exploration we may very well go extinct. I definately like all the buildings and things created that have been created in this area and I think they would look just as good on any planet surface. This idea popped in my head because in the CJ that I am currently working on Mars is already fully terraformed so the standard maxis stuff works fine. But my sims have bases, colonies, and resorts all throughout the solar system that saddly only exist in my head. I want to eventually get around to creating CJ of colonies on Phobos and Demos and that is where I plan on using this awesome SimMars stuff. The only problem is the surfaces texture is obviously quite red and it would be nice to have a darker moon surface.

Hello All! Thanks to everyone for making this is such a great addon to SimCity. I just downloaded SimBeta 2, but haven't played it yet because I'm currently organizing my plugins folder. I will certainly be popping into this area more to offer my 2 cents when I can. I wish I could contribute more, but I'm just a plopper and a dreamer. Someday I will be learning all the fancy building design stuff. My current CJ in development takes place on Mars, but its in a parallel universe to our own and Mars has been completely terraformed. Yeah, that was my quick solution to making my city appear to be on Mars.
