  1. Perhaps we need to use a dedicated external IRC server for the SimCity 4 multiplayer (SC4 MP). It would solve the communication issue but you will need to alt+tab between SC4 and your IRC software, which can be notorious since SC4 has been known to crash when trying to alt+tab to and from gameplay.
  2. SimCity 4 multiplayer sounds good, I might try it at some point when I get the time. Got some of questions though. For installation, is it better to start with a clean install of SC4 in order to install the multiplayer add-on from dropbox.com especially if you got plenty of add-ons from elsewhere to start with? There is no internal chat for SC4, how would you communicate to your neighbours for city link-ups (e.g. for garbage/utility trade)?

    Hello, I am James, I live in Boston in the UK and a big hello to everyone to Simtropolis. I have a big interest in trains, computers and also I am a big SimCity fan. I also like other classic computer games like Sonic, Lemmings, Wipeout and Command & Conquer. I like TV shows Star Trek, Cartoons (Looney Toons, Scooby Doo, etc.) plus a few others. I also have a Hornby trainset that I run every now and again. Great site so far and lets hope I can make more online friends. :-)
