When you think about it, it kinda makes sense to have an airport fire station in rural areas, because the roads aren't as good and usually you will be covering a larger area with several villages, so it provides quicker response times and means you don't need to fund loads of fire stations for each village -

I ended up downloading it from here: http://www.bigdownload.com/games/cities-xl/pc/cities-xl-beta-client-single-file/ If you look on the left, it has the individual files for download. I just downloaded Setup_CD2.exe and it worked. So just check the sizes of the files and compare with that on the multi-part section, then download the ones that are incomplete.

Urgh. The P2P downloader has stopped at 96%. Any ideas? It's been like it a good half hour now!

Haven't a clue. I think I'm just going to leave it running... It's strange that it should go down, it being p2p should take the load of thier servers somewhat.

It's a French company. Working in France. Which shares a rather large border with Germany. Why on earth WOULDN'T they release a French version first?! Localisation is a lengthy process; it'll come soon enough.

My area is kingd of uncatigorisable (is that a word?!). I basically live in the suburbs, but it isnt suburby, if you know what I mean. Basically, I live in a London borough, but right on the outskirts near the surrey border. So it doesnt really look like a London suburb. Don't know really. Seemed a laugh at the time! I sort of forgot about this site for a long time. I joined when it was V3, but never really posted until V4. Hope to be around more now, as these forums seem much faster and easier to use
