Them's pretty nice, kj! Here's what I've been cooking up tonight:
-
Howdy, folks - I hope all is going well in here! I see that some great BATers have stepped in during my absence. I've recently started a new job & have a couple other things that are taking up most of my time right now. I do apologize for not being able to help out at the moment; rest assured that when I have some more time, you'll be seeing more releases from me!
-
Yup . . . . David (dedgren) has experimented with some of that stuff in his Three Rivers Region project over on SC4D.
-
-
-
Not bad, Fonz - the only thing I would suggest is making the 'Dial 511' sign a bit wider - it looks a little too vertically scrunched.
-
Just curious, what's the problem with ImageShack?
-
Here's an update from the SC4DOT location in Western New York: These are the first signs off the press for the upcoming Buffalo, NY Sign Pack Part 1. Two versions will be released - one in the current FHWA "Highway Gothic" font, and one in the new "Clearview" font. This pack will contain 13 signs from Interstate 90 eastbound approaching the city of Buffalo, New York. Look for more Buffalo, NY packs in the future!

Well, would y'all look at this . . . . the first signs of the Buffalo, NY Sign Pack #1: A couple of notes about this pack: There will be 13 signs from Interstate 90 eastbound approaching the city of Buffalo, NY. This sign pack will be available in TWO versions: one in the current FHWA "Highway Gothic" font and one in the new "Clearview" font, so that you may choose which font you'd like to use!

That would make it flow a little better.

I missed my 8th as well. It just flew by!

I've lost count . . . . I was one of the original ST members & I've seen 'em all! Really looking forward to the new features!

How about a district of NHL team name streets? Duck, Thrasher, Bruin, Sabre, Flame, Hurricane, Blackhawks, Avalanche, Blue Jacket, Star, Red Wing, Oiler, Panther, King, Canadien, Wild, Predator, Devil, Islander, Ranger, Senator, Flyer, Coyote, Penguin, Shark, Blue, Lightning, Maple Leaf, Canuck, Capital.

Nice work, Fonz! I know you're going for a RL re-creation, but it makes more sense to me to flip-flop 'Fresno Avenue' and 'Downtown Stockton'.
-
Instead of the full word "Interstate" on the full shield, I think you could shorten it to either "I" or "IH" (Interstate Highway).

I have here some preview renders to tease y'all with. Without further ado: Coming soon to Virgin Shores!

I look forward to contributing to this awesome effort!

@ NTM - Those signs were made for RHW-6S applications. You've got a RHW-6C in that picture. Here's a diagram of how it should work: [RHW-6s (1 tile w/ overlap into 2nd] -- [1-tile gap] [sign base plop] I'll try to include a picture in the next couple of days.

Originally posted by: MR.X.1 öhm, could someone tell me, why on the american sings stand Hamburg??? Hamburg is german, and I don't know a roud over the atlantic... @mrtnrln(try to speak it in one word XD): nice work, I think the pylons for the road side and the Crash barrier in the middle of the RHW6C I would use to. may you can make these Crash barriers for RHW4 and 6 too...quote> Hamburg is also a suburb of Buffalo. Originally posted by: JayStimson The signs look very good. A bit of texture (a touch of rust or other such weathering effects) to the supports might improve things (IMO). Unless of course they're supposed to be brand spanking new. Maybe an over avenue version in a prop family. Something like what you would see driving in a city. Signs that direct you to the highways maybe. Just a thought. I could do these myself but I'd rather not duplicate the effort since yours are coming along so well.quote> Brand spanking new indeed, my friend - we're building signs that will last several SimLifetimes. I'm sure no mayor wants to be spending $1M or so every year on signage replacement.
