I however, like your use of BATs. Mitsos: 6/10. Nice use of ploppable BATs, I see how it would take a long time to do, however, it looks too clean, almost sterile. Aswell, it doens't achieve the look that I would think was being attempted at. Final note: Looks very Dubai-ish, I like it.

Energy: Renewable resources would be the only option, fossil fuels would not be able to be shipped to your island. I would reccomend using solar, or wind power as they would be the cheapest. Fresh Water: In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, fresh water would be sparce. You would need a desalination plant, a water filter found at your local camping store should function as a water filter. Food: Here is a problem. You may want to invest in a plane or boat to shuttle supplies from surrounding islands as you would have no food sources. Funding: Hosting an online casino or tax haven would be profitable options, as you run the country you could entice banks to open off-shore branches there to keep money away from governments. What Kind Of Island: Know your geography. The Principality of Sealand was founded on a WWII naval thingy. If you have a lot of firepower you may be able to chase out the government of Alfoli, or Beru. These island already have neccisary infastructure. How to Run The Island: Read some good books; 1984, Animal Farm, or Lord of the Flies should be kept in the national library in case you need some good ideas or policies. (Animal Farm is the most applicable). What to do Next: Make alliances with other countries or join the UN. You'll be surprised at how hard it is to get recognized. Remember to play SimCity4 to train your civil servants.
