  1. So much has happened with Cities Skylines that I decided to start over on a new project. This will be a US/California themed city with lots of other influences. Focus will be on functionality and realism and a lot of the major detailing will be quick and sloppy with the exception of some parts. This will be a metropolis and will challenge the limits of the game, and to do so it involves some work in the asset editor and some other custom solutions to tackle the limits. This is the start of Emory Hills!

  4. Another big project getting closer to the end; the old port close to downtown. Much of this has been recorded and will be the next episode up in the Emory Hills series. I really like the outcome of this one!

  6. Working on several projects at once means long periods without episodes. I've got a lot in the works though. Meanwhile, I took some shots of some "random" rail infrastructure in Emory Hills:
  7. I seem to easily get stuck doing rail infrastructure of various kinds. Been fixing up some stations and expansions along one of the main lines in preparation for developing the area.

  11. Thanks! It's gonna be mostly videos as shots of some underground places can be tricky. Here are a bunch of the commuter central that is starting to get finished, at least the underground parts.
  12. Another build that kind of fits under the I get distracted theme. This station build wasn't planned but I really like how it turned out. A custom local only elevated station over the highway and an intersection. Lots going on here
  13. I haven't stopped, definitely haven't stopped. I've been busy in real life and the time I have spent building I have spent on revamping the metro and rail systems. Replacing MOM with railways with catenaries and custom underground stations. That and a big expansion of the metro. Oh, and I almost forgot, custom liveries for metro and commuter trains.
  14. I don't record everything I build, if I would, progress would be too slow for the goals I have with Emory Hills. I try to record the interesting parts, and the unique builds. Sometimes I get distracted and go off working on something else for a while, and sometimes those sidetracks turn into something and in hindsight it might have been something that should have been recorded. But I let myself do this, as it sparks creativity and the end result is better i.m.o. The last days I've been working on a new local center, an resurrected, densified and modern area around the high speed rail cutting through the outskirts of Emory Hills. Even though there is no build video, there will be cinematic videos of areas like these eventually! Enjoy some screenshots until then:

    Just have to say it looks really good on game, glad you made it! Got plans for more American trains / metros? I really like that it's a bit more detailed that others.

  18. Oceanside Plaza is a three level, metro and light rail hub located in downtown close to the beach. Enjoy this first of two build videos!
  19. Seems like I forgot to add the last video of my hillsides. Houses were released a couple of weeks back. I was away travelling the first two weeks of summer vacation, so progress has been slow, but now it's speeding up to a slow crawl again. It's time to get on with the patches of green that is Downtown today and make the city a whole.

  22. Getting closer to releasing the mountain mansions. Got two shots overlooking part of the downtown when building the mountain suburbs last night. And some bonus shots of the high end area by the sea.
  23. Belmont Keys is finished! Watch the last part being built and some cinematics of the whole area!
  24. Working on some beach side mansions with private beach access! Assets are part of a set of Laguna houses that will be released soon!
  25. Finally reached the episode where I build the beach, which is one of the best soo far i.m.o. Check it out!
