I agree about C&C3, that game was atrocious. Generals was okay FOR THE TIME, the graphics were considered quite decent when it was released in 2003... but their still using that sodding engine even today for RA3, trying to milk the SAGE teet's for the very last drops before it gets run into the ground by every other Strategy game. I liked Red Alert 2 however... I mean, ALOT... even though I was probably too much of a PC ***** to remember fans of Red Alert being pissed by the light hearted direction westwood were taking the game, but I remember when I got it and I was stunned by how playable it was. I was still playing it a few months ago When I take into consideration that, given the crappy Graphics and the Anime bile they've spewed into the game, underneath RA3 its just Red Alert 2... most of the Units are back, EA haven't even been bothered to change some of the voices (lazy sob's) and it pretty much plays the same. My thinking is; if I liked Red Alert 2, then i'll like Red Alert 3! After all, its pretty much a giant rip off. However, for long i'll like the game is questionable since nothing has changed much and I've watched alot of Videos people have made with the Beta. Not much will be a surprise to me when it is released, theres nothing really that groundbreaking (like Super Ultra Heavy Units... a Mothership Kirov maybe that can spawn other Kirovs... I mean, COME ON! I don't see EA coming up with this stuff) its just the bog standard EA speel that we always get. I want some freaking imagination!!! It will start larger tensions, yes, but the war shouldn't esculate anymore than it has already given the rest of the world try to contain it. Instead of giving Russia what IT wants (like Britain did in WW2 with Germany), give the people of Ossetia what THEY want. The problem here is that the world has already made way for 1 breakaway state this year... are we going to have another before the year is over with? It seems like the world is becoming more and more divided despite being closer together

Haha, wow, that opening ceremony was freaking fantastic The lighting of the Torch was great, it looked like the guy lit a detonation cord I was just thinking...how on Earth is London 2012 gonna shape up to that? In order to achieve it everybody in the UK is gonna have to get their arses down to London and work 16 hour days for the next 4 years.

I just want to clear some things up... 1. Russia is looking for a fight but this is NOT the beggining of World War 3... we had a bigger chance of that happening during the Cold War and it didn't, Russia has been in bigger disputes than this in the past and its never resulted in a gigantic war. 2. America will NOT get involved. If the Russians catch wind of even the slightest American intervention. you could see them becoming even more aggressive. America can still say nasty things to Russia, make threats or try and calm things down, but millitary intervention is a nono. 3. This seems like a distpute over Georgia joining NATO, not a Conquest for former glory. NATO can either take Georgia on board and protect them or, Decline Georgia's membership on the grounds that it will cause more trouble than its worth... the latter I think Russia is trying to achieve. Since this is officially a War however... you can literally count the seconds until the US sends in its first Diplomat

Thats an almighty haul, but even though this is an 'International' crime ring, I doubt we'll see any major drop in E usage outside of Melbourne (i.e, the rest of the world). Now, they haven't SMASHED it as they said since the drugs came from Italy... if they'd shutdown the factory these guys were making it in then I'd say they'd smashed it, but it looks like thats up to the Italian authorities... who are too busy enforcing strict anti-immigration laws to even care.

After looking on the CXL forum, it appears to be too early to give a clear indication of what the Min specs will be... but somebody pointed out over on the forums that Monte Cristo are trying to make it possible to run smoothly on older computers too. So most people without a relic of a PC may have a chance of playing this game... albeit, on poor quality graphics. I have a job now anyway, so I'll be saving something to buy myself a new PC tower for when the game arrives!

Takes about 30 seconds to load for me, but a few years ago when I had a slower connection it did take about 5 minutes!

mmm... maybe they could implement a City tour (the Camera could attach itself to a helicopter or a tourbus), but a UDI type thing would be another game in itself. I think more people would buy the game for its key element - City building, and not its after thoughtish secondary mini-games. Thats like buying GTAIV and just playing QUB3D all the time.

I'm really starting to love this game... infact, I now pronounce me and CitiesXL Husband and Wife. w00t. My only problem is all the roads in the vids are tree-lined... hopefully we'll be able to turn that option offski.

What the... how on earth can you behead somebody with a knife? Historic exectioners had a hard time doing it with an Axe, never mind a knife. I would go on but this doesn't bare thinking about... its pretty horrific that somebody could do that in front of passengers on a BUS of all places... sure, maybe down an Alley way at 4am or in the basement of a sadists house, but a Bus?!! I remember I was on a bus and a guy walked on and just started beating the crap out of some other guy for, what I guess, was no reason. He in turn, was beaten up by the bus driver, it was quite amusing... can't say i'd feel the same in this happened that day, even just hearing a story like this makes me partially paralyzed inside.
