  1. 5 things they could add in the next NAM

It's on Alt-US-1. And I've never seen any real traffic problems with it because when it was build, it was banked perfectly so that you wouldn't have any problems with it. Here's a link to it in Google Maps. Then you can click on the Sat image if you want to see that. The reason I'm just linking to the map part is to speed it up loading for any other dial-up users out there like myself.
  2. RHW - Questions, Errors, and Testing

Ok, here are those pictures I promised. This time, I backed up the cities involved so I could just place the back again and wouldn't have to worry about any traffic problems. First, from my city Alphaville: This setup worked: This setup didn't work even when connected correctly on the other side: Now, this is from Eaton Beach: This setup worked: This setup didn't work even when connected correctly on the other side: And here's a picture showing that only the truck traffic was willing to use the road in Eaton Beach. Don't have any truck traffic in Alphaville. I'm thinking it might have something to do the with "arrows" on the road saying that it's connected to the other city. But that's just a guess on my part. And if that's the case, you might have to work on a special "Neighbor" connection piece to fix it.

EDIT: No overpasses on the RHW segments period. The only overpasses are at the GHW/Avenue Interchanges.
  5. RHW - Questions, Errors, and Testing

Originally posted by: Tarkus rickmastfan67: Well, I think that part of that has to do with the connections of surface streets to the RHW. Having a long One-Way Road or Street as a connector decreases the speed at which vehicles get on the highway (this also applies to FHWs), and a lot of times, it can actually discourage commuters from using it. I did this once by creating a C/D road with OWRs with the NAM ramps and an Elevated FHW, and suddenly, no one used it. However, I later replaced that stretch of El-FHW with an El-RHW setup with an MIS ramp, and the traffic volumes rose sharply. So, at least in the interim, for the OWR and Street connections being used as makeshift ramps on/off the RHW, try to make them as short as possible, and it should mitigate that issue for right now, at least until the MIS is released. -Tarkusquote> But this was @ a Neighbor connection that they didn't want to use it. In one of the cities, I had replaced all but the Avenue GHW Interchanges & the Neighbor connection with the RHW instead of the original GHW and the traffic levels stayed the same. The second I replaced the Neighbor connection with the RHW, no traffic period wanted to use it, and it was the only connection between the cities. Then when I replaced the Neighbor connection back with the GHW, traffic returned, how ever, at really reduced traffic levels.
  6. RHW - Questions, Errors, and Testing

Is anybody else having problems with the crossings into another city? I just upgraded my FHW to RHW across my city border. Before I did this, I had over 300 cars using the highway. After I turned it to RHW, none used it, and it was the only crossing between the cites. Trucks used it, but not cars. Then, I changed just the crossing area back to a ground highway just at the border, and then cars started to use it again, but only a shadow of the number that used it before. Only 78 IIRC are now using it with the trucks. Anybody know why this would happen?

  8. 2007 NHL Play Offs

Oh yeah, Pens defeat Ottawa 4-3. Tied the series up at 1-1.
  9. 2007 NHL Play Offs

The Pens are going to defeat the Senators this round. This was the first playoff game ever for over 50% of the Pens, and it's going to make them stronger. I have faith in my Pens.

For anybody who is thinking of making a toll booth for the RHW, here's an idea for one. This is a picture of the EB off-ramp toll booths on PA Turnpike 576 @ US-30 up here in Pittsburgh. It's all automated. Two lanes are for Cash and EZ-Pass, the third is EZ-Pass only. And I personally think that this would make a perfect off-ramp toll booth for the mod. I also have a picture of WB on-ramp toll booth that is at the same interchange. If anybody wants to attempt these toll booths, post or PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the HR versions of the images. On another note, Tarkus, I see you're using the new strait RHW piece I sent ya over in your CJ. How's it working out?

Tarkus, any update on when you can get me those exit ramp pieces so I can get to work? I should have some free time this weekend to work on my idea, but I'm been doing some work on part it that I can do. You know how most highways have those little highway reflectors on them? I've started to work on a flat version that I hope will work on with the exit ramp that I'll be doing. Here's a small preview of what I have done so far. Ignore the colors as they are just so I can tell areas apart on it. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/rickmastfan67/Interstates/HighwayReflector.png Still needs a lot of work, but I have the basic shape done for it.
