8 pointsHi everybody ! Here's my current project : Port-Guillaume is a city I built in 2012. In a pre-NAM era :-D So today, I took a deep breath and I decided to erase it completely and start it from scratch. As you can see, it is quite bumpy, there are Maxis trees everywhere, mixed with pines that don't match and several areas are over complicated with intricate roads... I was quite proud of that area however... And now, let's start again, with a nice lifting for the terrain : And the main road and railway layout is done ! Now the goal is to reach again the 90.000 inhabitants!

3 pointsHere's another BAT that someone might find more interesting to do: the Palacio de Aguas, also here in Buenos Aires. See, it's a very beautiful eclectic-style building, and it's always good to have more of these buildings, if only for the eye-candy effect. But what's actually interesting about the PdA is that's it's actually a water tank. On the inside, it's just tanks, pipes, and a WC museum (no, seriously). So ingame, it should be a water building, like so many water towers that we currently have in the Exchange (or a museum, if you're so inclined). And believe it or not, this is not even the only water tank disguised as an ornamental building in Buenos Aires. There's at least three of these at different spots in the city. But this one's the prettiest.

1 pointYou probably know if you try to install CAM on windows 10 SC4DatPacker 2008 will crash during setup. This is caused by missing libraries for 32-bit apps in the SysWOW64 folder. So if we put the required .dll s in the SysWOW folder SC4DatPacker, SC4 Mapper, and SC4TerraFormer (SC4TerraFormer might need more dlls to work read its readme) should work. Step 1 : Get The dlls Step 1a :Get MFC71.DLL https://www.dll-files.com/mfc71.dll.html Step 1b :Get MSVCR71.dll https://www.dll-files.com/msvcr71.dll.html Step 1c :Get GDIPLUS.DLL https://www.dll-files.com/gdiplus.dll.html (Note : my system already had this file so you might not need to download it) Step 2 :Unzip the dll s and place it in the root of C:\Windows\SysWOW64 Step 3 :Reboot Step 4 Run the CAM installer and enjoy I am not responsible if something goes wrong. This Tutorial only applies of 64-bit versions of windows 10

1 pointHello! Been getting back into SimCity 4, decided to be a little more social this time around. Looking forward to getting more involved in the community. -Labov

1 pointHello everyone! Oldschool player into Micropolis (SimCity Classic), SimCity for SNES and SimCity 2000 here. I am glad to see such a thriving community covering all of those (now old but still as awesome as ever) games. As a number crunching maniac, I must say I have spent a great deal of time reading and bookmarking the extensive guides here; there is always something new and interesting to learn about the simulation mechanics even over three decades later. I will make sure to contribute whenever possible to the community. Old games are often put aside but never forgotten!

1 pointCan you post an example of a faulty exemplar that I can use to try and diagnose the problem? Edit: Nevermind, I've made one. I think I found the problem and should be able to fix it Double edit: This bug has been fixed and a new release is available here https://github.com/memo33/jondor-t21-editor/releases/tag/0.6.1 @junspud @rsc204

1 pointIt should work on CC 2019, Adobe hasn't made any breaking changes to the plugin API in 25+ years. I suspect that error message may be Photoshop's generic 'cannot read' error code. That error is returned for 8-bit indexed FSH images and files that compressed with an unsupported format. IIRC SC4 uses 8-bit indexed images in a few places. Could you make a post in the plugin support thread or file an issue on GitHub with one of the FSH files that causes this included as an attachment?

1 pointHow about Mark of the Devil I and II, starring the inimitable Reggie Nalder. Reggie Nalder? Well, before Danny Trejo there was Reggie Nalder. I always enjoyed carnivals more, at night. All the drunks, hookers and pickpockets are there to entertain me.

1 pointHi guys ! Here's the first time I post one of my cities on the forum, so I care a lot for your pieces of advice ! A few weeks ago I have decided to redevelop completely one of my oldest cities : Guilfaillant, which I started in 2011. The city is located here : It is located on the edges of the major city, it hosts 65.000 inhabitants, and it is composed of a city center located on a hill, surounded with boulevards, a suburb-like neighbourhood and a large agricultural plain. One of the most original features of the city is a canalised stream located on the very top of the hill and crossing the center. The city looked pretty bad in my opinion, because I didn't master well enough the NAM, the roads are wriggling wierdly, some intersections are... well... murderously wrong. So I have decided to start it from scratch, but I wanted to keep the general structure of the city : the center upon the hill, the stream on top of it, the suburb, the large plain with a few villages, the Maxis highways and the forest nearby. Now the city hosts 129.000 inhabitants and I am quite proud of it !

1 pointI was going through my plugin folder, deleting stuff to downsize my plugins in preparation for my final region/city and stumbled upon these aircraft related props that I forgot I rendered for the airport/air base project. Since I will not be pursuing this project anymore I decided to get rid of them. Instead of deleting I thought I'd upload these for the community to use. Before getting to the pictures here's what we have: Instrument Landing system props, some are based on JENX/Xannepan originals on the LEX 90s era airplanes JSDF aircraft and vehicles a diagonal tram stop I modeled for Noahclem. Unfortunately the rest of the stops are lost. Please note that these props are given as is. I am aware there are rendering issues but I will not fix them. I do not have the models anymore. If you don't like them, don't use them. simple as. Also I did not model most of these. All of the planes and vehicles come from the sketchup 3D warehouse. Now the pictures: Tram stop, based on Paris T3a Line stops. Towbar towbarless pushback tractor large tug small tug JGSDF Stryker Command (Japan actually doesn't use it) JGSDF Type 74 Main Battle Tank JGSDF Komatsu LAV JASDF Large tug JASDF small tug Mil Mi-26 Dassault Alpha Jet Eurocopter AS332 Eurocopter AS350 Eurocopter AS350 JMSDF Hughes OH-6 Fuji UH-1J Bell AH1 SuperCobra Boeing AH-64D Apache Boeing CH-47J Chinhook Tupolev Tu-154 Aeroflot Boeing 747-400 ANA Boeing 747 Lufthansa Boeing 767-300ER ANA McDonnell Douglas DC-10 KLM McDonnell Douglas DC-10 Finnair Boeing C-17 Globemaster III Mitsubishi H-60 JMSDF Mitsubishi H-60 JASDF Mitsubishi H-60 JGSDF Lockheed P3-C Orion Yakovlev Yak-42 Aeroflot Antonov AN-74 Beechcraft LR-2 Mitsubishi F-15J JASDF Mitsubishi F4-EJ JASDF Mitsubishi LR-1 JGSDF Gulfstream G550 Antonov An-124 already shown above Lockheed C-130H Ilyushin Il-76 Volga Dniepr VOR/DME Antenna ILS Glide Slope Antenna ILS localizer PAPI Approach Lights You can get both of these packs over at the STEX:

1 pointThank you for the quick answers. For those curious, I had been debating on the orientation of a map of Wuhan, a city now infamously know through current events but historically known for its Yangtze riverfront and scores of lakes: The left option aligns to the ancient grid layout of the older core city of Wuchang, which, like many of the surrounding a satellite cities and following with traditional practice, generally aligns north-south. While not deviating too much from a common north-south alignment, the map also reaches features on its periphery I thought were interesting and is overall more natural looking. However, the stretch of the Yangtze River through Wuhan itself would require diagonal suspension bridges if someone were to recreate the real city, and I didn't think functional diagonal suspension bridges existed in game. The right option aligns to the landmark Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, the first in what has become a series of 8 major bridges, of which 7 are suspension bridges, along the straightest stretch of the river. This also loosely aligns to the historic Wuhan Bund in old Hankou and accomodates much of the wider modern infrastructure that flanks the river. Being so straight and parallel to the edge of the map makes this stretch of river look somewhat unnatural, and much of the rest of the region where lesser city developments should be aligned north-south becomes complicated. However, with a straight river aligned to the SimCity grid, we can easily make this: (Wuhan Yangtze Riverfront Park image from Sasaki Associates, Inc.) I will go with the right option. Thanks again for the help!

1 pointthe first art deco skyscraper in downtown was built in the upper district in 1970s, now perform as the headquarter of an international bank. the city hall of Elsevier, right next to the St George railway station.

1 pointjust about 10km away from the center of the city, approaching the bay, there stood a historical district. Among the old buildings, new buildings strang up in the 80's, the second best hospital in the province chose to locate here, brought the community back to life even though there is no freeway span through it, through which the community's integrity was maintained.

0 pointsJim Brown-athlete/actor/activist age 87 RIP Jim Brown was virtually unstoppable in every arena. Whether on the field, as a Hollywood film hero or civil rights advocate, Brown was a force. One of the greatest players in NFL history, Brown, who retired at the peak of his playing career to pursue acting and remained in the public spotlight as an activist — and due to off-field transgressions that included allegations of violence against women — has died. He was 87.
