Welcome everyone to the 5th and final part of the series "Urbanization and the evolution of cities in Dimland across 10,000 years". This episode is about the modern cities in Dimland.
The country consists of 34 regions with a total population of 40,3 million from which the 27 million (66,2%) live in the capital Penthesili while another 5,8 million (14,47) in the second largest city. So the 80,67% lives in the 2 largest urban centers. The rest percentage is distributed to smaller cities such as Metro Atlantis (2million), Rio (1 million) Iolkos (0,8 million).
The last couple years took place a massive construction program in order to improve the infrastructures, the quality of life and the appearance of the cities. At this point i have to admit that many parts of the cities were ugly, suffering lack of aesthetics and degradated. Fortunately, this program succeeded its goals and now we can say that Penthesili, is not just way more beautiful and interesting, but also one of the capitals of the Simworld. Penthesili is now a financial, political and cultural center, attracting people from all over the Simglobe.
