Tucson, Arizona. (work in progress)

I am recreating my hometown of Tucson, Arizona. I am trying to make it as close to real life (within Sim City 4's limitations) as possible including road distances, mountains, and landmarks. So far I have mostly completed some areas including downtown, University of Arizona, South Tucson, El Con Mall, part of Davis Monthan Air Force Base, and other parts of the north and south side of town.

Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it wouldn't last
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged...

Very nice first entry . In case you didn't know , you can press the Num Lock to remove the UI . And you can press Ctlr+Shift+S to take a snapshot of your screen . Believe me , you are off to a good start . I like the layout of the city , it looks pretty realistic . And the overview ... :thumb: . Keep it up , I'll be looking forward to your next entry .

You're doing a fine job with this desert city, Zomo!  The university campus is nicely done.  Have fun doing all of the diagonal freeways.  I take it that this is Aviation Parkway cutting through the Southeast Side. :D

@raynev1 @metarvo Thank you both! Didn't know about the num lock key. Balancing work and school at the University of Arizona leaves me with little free time but i'll be expanding and touching up on this region as much as I can. Yup diagonal roads can be a bit of a headache with their limitations connecting to other regions but most of Tucson roads are outlined in a grid so its not too bad. I think the diagonal runways at the airport and base will give me the most trouble on the realism side because as far as I know there is no diagonal runway mod as of yes and DM's runway is at least 1.5 miles long. Your Aviation Parkway guess was close. The snapshot location is I-10 and Palo Verde/Alvernon. Aviation's just a bit further north. :)
