Greetings everyone! I have been working on this project off and on due to college (finally graduated from the University of Arizona ). Thankfully many parts of town are near finished, although it is a very long way to go to complete the entire valley. I have started working on the Catalina Mountains and Foothills. Although it will be some time before I start adding buildings in this area. Tucson Mall on the north side is done. As is El Con Mall in midtown. (Before it was gutted.) Pima Air and Space Museum. Davis Monthan AFB. And lastly, the Boneyard.

Tucson, Arizona. (work in progress)

@raynev1 @metarvo Thank you both! Didn't know about the num lock key. Balancing work and school at the University of Arizona leaves me with little free time but i'll be expanding and touching up on this region as much as I can. Yup diagonal roads can be a bit of a headache with their limitations connecting to other regions but most of Tucson roads are outlined in a grid so its not too bad. I think the diagonal runways at the airport and base will give me the most trouble on the realism side because as far as I know there is no diagonal runway mod as of yes and DM's runway is at least 1.5 miles long. Your Aviation Parkway guess was close. The snapshot location is I-10 and Palo Verde/Alvernon. Aviation's just a bit further north. -

I am recreating my hometown of Tucson, Arizona. I am trying to make it as close to real life (within Sim City 4's limitations) as possible including road distances, mountains, and landmarks. So far I have mostly completed some areas including downtown, University of Arizona, South Tucson, El Con Mall, part of Davis Monthan Air Force Base, and other parts of the north and south side of town. -

I just found out, like it shows in the above screenshot, the renderer in the video options need to be on the "software" option though the Humvees i used are not textured anymore. If you can make a Humvee compatible with software rendering or make the tanks out of hardware rendering that would be really neat! Thank you!

Im thinking someone should make some A-10, C-130, and UH-60 Blackhawk models to give cities more well deserved muscle in their air bases.
