Hi, ThomasSimpson. Nice to see your CJ doing so well to end the year.

Hi, Mithrik. Nice work this week. And thanks for pointing out my error - will be fixed soon.

Hi, PhatHead. Thanks. Before we get to next week, there's the small matter of the year's Top One Hundred.

Hi, Forthwall. I'll have your username changed in 2013.

Hi, Ying Blanc. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Hi, 1000000000000. Thanks for your comment.

Hi, 111222333444. Well done this week!

Hi, LoonyMan. Nice work this week (and you're in the Top Ten, not the +10).

Ben's Top One Hundred +1 for 2012

It's that time... time to start celebrating Ben's Top Hundred for 2012. A couple of CJs were tied at the bottom of the chart, so we have +1.

29 Dec 2012

We start with numbers 81-101. There are two CJs that were number one in 2011: Royal Gansbaai Kingdoms and Schellingen Stadt.

30 Dec 2012

Today we add the next 20 CJs to the list. Selbring and Slovakia were number ones from 2011, and there are three from 2012: Spedbury, The World Alphabet, and Bob Town.

31 Dec 2012

The list is growing... Insulo was number 1 in 2011, and we add two more Trixie winners: Windemere and Sultanate of Sotoa. Sultanate of Sotoa hit number 1 in 2012, along with several others in the chart today - City of Angeles, Izumo, World War 2, Port Lantea, Escilnavia's Workshop, Paris, and Port Hamilton.

The highest CJ on the list not to make it into the Top Ten is Alien [iI] Worlds 2 - I dub this CJ the best of the +10.

Have a great New Year's Eve, and remember to party responsibly - we want to see you happy and healthy to start 2013!

1 Jan 2013

Happy New Year, everyone!

We're getting closer to the top...

There are some distinguished CJs in this next batch: 3 Trixie winners - District of Wenzel, Three Nations and Paridise Island, 2 number ones from 2011 - Three Nations and The Sultanate of Kalu Sabah, and 4 number ones from 2012 - Med Inspirations, Okaiken, Grafschaft Mitterburg and The Greater Morsco.

Special mention to one of my all-time personal favorites - Santa Malin.

2 Jan 2013.

Ten more CJs to celebrate today.

20. Hiroshima took us to Japan.

19. Nueva Iberia brought us flavors of Spain and the New World.

18. From highrises glittering in the night sky to the escape offered by pristine beaches Atlantsia has it all. Oh yes, and a 2011 Trixie, too.

17. Asgard blends an elegant history with modern success.

16. Take a trip to the Italian countryside in Cattala.

15. Asian CJs were more popular than ever in 2012 - take a look at number one CJ Atarashima to see why.

14. Russia meets asia in Kamchatka.

13. Be amazed by the transport system in Trixie-winning Dragon islands Cities. We haven't seen Skimbo in a while - come back, we miss you!

12. Be horrified by the deliberate destruction of Hijaran United Confederacy, a number one CJ this year.

11. The long-running story of Port Matthew's The Sensational Six wrapped up this year.

3 Jan 2013

The Top ten is finally here!

10. It's been number 2 on numerous occasions - the beautiful Shushtrepistaz.

9. Number one in 2012 and a Trixie winner in 2011, Ring of Fire brings you peaceful and angry nature scenes.

8. Asian CJs rocked in 2012. Hokkodo spent some time at number one and showed you why they're popular.

7. Empire of Katrinnenland, the most renamed CJ, started out the year at number one and won a Trixie in 2011.

6. You want dreamy spires? Ionica is the place to visit.

5. You want stunning middle eastern coastlines, suburbs and highrises? Head to Zouerat Islamic Federation.

4. You want train love? You want roly poly? You want a CJ that was number one in 2011 and 2012? Then you want Okatabwashi.

3. New SorGun took you back in time to the 1800s logging communities of the US northwest in stunning style.

2. Many weeks at number one in 2012 (and some in 2011), Trixies for the past 2 years, perfect residential, commercial, industrial and nature all in one, it's Journey through Pengia.

1. The top CJ for 2012 spent an astonishing 46 weeks in the Top Ten, several at the number 2 position, and in the other 6 weeks was never lower than number 13, a lucky number for Schulmania, winner of Trixies for the last 6 years. I'm proud to finally award this CJ its number one star, well done.

Happy CJing until next time!

Yes, without all these great city journalists and their imagination, patience and dedication we wouldn't have such an amazing list for the year.

Very pleased, and honoured, to have made it to number 16 this year - up roughly 50 places on last year from what you recalled Ben? Very, very happy and to be alongside some really great CJs is wonderful. I can't wait to see who got to number one!

Some really, really good stuff in 10-20. No ring of fire yet? There's no way i can be in the top ten..... i would have guessed 20-25 range.

I'm guessing:
1. paengia
2. okatabawshi
3. new sorgun

/waits anxiously for tomorrow.

Hmmmm I'm suprised I'm even in the top ten, because I updated much less between September and December, because of school etc, we'll see, even if I believe I won't be in the top 3, I thnk SorGun wll be more competitive ,but I would be honored to be in that rank

We shall see !! :O

Great improvement for Cattala - thanks for your dedication, you've achieved quite the following in the new section.
Today's the day - and you've achieved the same spot on both charts - very impressive work this year.

Your CJ was very popular in the updates that you gave us. It is also one of my personal favorites, so I was glad it did so well here at BTT.

What a superb top ten. Congratulations to all of them, every single one is a fantastic journal. To think that this quality of work, let alone the competitiveness, would still be possible with a game that is 10 years old in just over a week, is amazing.

Let's wait and see what next year will hold, with the new game and whatnot. All I can say for sure is that next year's Top Ten will be even more competitive than this years.
