The abandoned seaport of Aral'sk, Kazakhstan. The shrinkage of the Aral Sea has turned this once thriving port into a rusted reminder of the past...

You can see the rest of my "Central Asia" CJ update here.

I saw the picture before the description and I immediately thought "Hmmmm - dried up seaport..... looks like the Aral...."  *:P

Since I live in Hamburg, it was obvious that I want to build a harbor.
Since I now have time as a volunteer, it was also allowed to be something bigger...... ;-)

It's NOT the Port of Hamburg but it's heavily inspired ....

The whole thing was created on a flatland landscape, completely without water.
Although was a miserable fumbling, only to work with the channel system but I think it was worth it.
Now come a few fine works ..........

The pictures are not sorted, but like from the album

Greetings and regards,

A well-fortified, Roman, harbor.
Somewhere in Africa.
On the left you can see the harbor where the legions are shipped.
In the middle the docks for goods and grain.
Far right the harbor basin for the loading of livestock.
